Two things:

1. I like the state anthem being played before the national anthem.
2. Band is in uniform.

I was there many years ago. 2012, I believe.

State fans were respectful during My Old Kentucky Home and applauded at the end.

In fact, there was a Kentucky fan in the front row of the section above and behind one of the State sections. He had a great voice and projected over our section. We all turned around to applaud him at the end, and he took his hat off and took a bow.

But yeah, Ole Miss fans did... that.

They are still hurting over this play in 2024. Glorious. Surely the win in Lexington will erase that catastrophe.

The temperature in Lexington during the game was 60 degrees, so the band was likely pretty comfortable. During our game a couple hours later, the temperature at my house was 65, and I assume it was pretty close to that in Starkville - maybe 3 or 4 degrees warmer. I don't care what they wear, but uniforms in Davis Wade would have also been comfortable, especially at night. Their choice must have been something other than weather.

Regarding OM fans - I suppose they don't realize they make the school look bad, especially when they're visiting. Probably was alcohol or some other substance involved. Based on my one experience in Lexington, the fans there for football are pretty benign and welcoming to visitors. They don't really care. That was before they became decently good, so maybe it's changed.

I never take serious anyone who, with a straight face and a little bit of limp-wristed pride, yells a chant that contains the words "hotty", "toddy", "flim", "flam", "bim","bam", or "Ole Miss".

yes for that game they did and the serios of unfortunate events that day may cause them to never do it again.
