1, 11, and 2 (if necessary)

Tough break b/c that means Pomeranz gets only 4 full days rest at most. Obviously, he's capable of great things, but Im sure Bianco would rather have been able to throw him on Sunday in a Sat/Sun/Mon regional.

I'm betting Irwin gets the Friday start, and Bukvich on Sunday. That way they can give Pomeranz the extra day of rest.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see us back Pomeranz all the way up to Sunday, if we were to win Game 1.

Anyway, I heard that Bittle was at the regional in the stands this weekend, and he was supposedly mad about it. Apparently he felt like he could've pitched this weekend in the regional, but Bianco didn't feel like he was in good enough shape.

Deep down, I still think we won't see him pitch again, but that rumor made me question if maybe there is some validity to the idea that he may still be able to throw for us this year, possibly this weekend.

That said, if by some chance they do put him on the roster for the Super, I see no way that he could start yet. If anything, I think he becomes your first right hander out of the pen giving us maybe 2-3 innings, with Morgan still closing.

At this point, I'd consider it great if he could give us 2-3 innings this coming weekend, and then hopefully if we win, he might be able to give us 5 or 6 in a starting role in the next round. Of course, I'm still of the belief that the rumor I heard was BS, and we won't see him in a Rebel uniform again.

ETA: The Red Cuppers are apparently backing my rumor now saying that they heard that Bittle will be on the 25 man this weekend, and I guarantee they are getting their information from a different source than me. We shall see I guess. I will continue to believe he's done until I see him trot out of the pen and take the mound.

that hasn't seen live action in 2 months. Of course, if it gets to a sunday game, any option is probably better than having to rely on Bukvich.

This regional is going to be great. 2 teams that almost mirror each other.

He had an average outing against Florida and gave up a couple HRs. Against WKU on Sunday, he gave up 10 hits in 5 innings, but a good number of those hits were rollers through the infield. He's been keeping the ball down and giving us quality innings.
