Ok, 6,000 passes. It's a perfect world and everybody carpools 4 to a car. We are at 24,000 people in the Grove. Dorm students will leave their car where it is. Now about 28,000 people parked and at the Grove. For large games, there might be 70-80,000 people in the Grove. So what now.... will there be 30-40,000 OM fans, visiting Fans, & commuter students scattered down HWY 6 dragging coolers or waiting on a shuttle from Walmart to carry all their crap to the Grove?

If you donate less than $1250 annually to UMAA, you will be allowed to buy 1 parking pass only. You might have 8 season tickets for your family but you better load up 8 deep in the family car to park in your one spot.

Cluster.

So 100% of all stadium parking is assigned spaces? No buying tickets at the gate or getting them at Will Call unless you parked in BFE and walked to campus? Visiting fans and scalpers won't like this.

Our campus is on lockdown after the Chris Jones espionage incident.

There will be a shuttle running from the Taco Bell parking lot, but females who have been punched in the face and had their keys thrown onto the roof get first priority.

Oh, in that case: I never really park on campus anyway; few people do. It's almost impossible. Hell you can park anywhere between the Square and the Grove and it's a fairly short walk to campus. So this isn't really a big deal. Now, if you have to walk several blocks toting a massive clitoris, you should probably buy a parking pass.

Who was the poster that had the Bulldog pimped white minivan? He should run a

shuttle service on game day.

Much better, but the visual of a muscle-bound 'woman' struggling to walk due to the hindrance of her nine-pound clitoris was unpleasant.

ETA: Reply fail. Still struggling with mobile.

On gameday do we have much non-parking pass parking?

when they do something stupid, cause we're liable to do it too.

Granted I just go to my parking lot so I am not familar with all parts of campus on game day, but outside of entering on the road by the highway patrol do we have anywhere on campus you can park without a pass?

I do think it is stupid to not allow a car on campus without a pass. I am not familar enough with Ole Miss's campus to know, but I would assume they have someone at the entrance to each lot. Just wondering why they are having to go that route unless it is for general traffic control.

Ha. May be more truth to that than you think.

Seriously though ... where do visitors park? How about handicapped visitors?

we've got sizable open parking areas.............

on the backside of campus. The Research park has a goodly number of spots as well.

There is a large ADA parking lot right off HWY 6 at Old Taylor between 6 and our stadium. Getting in compliance with the ADA act is a primary reason they are doing this. In the past, they allowed cars to park on sidewalks all over campus. That either did or could get us in trouble with the ADA act.

As for visitors, they are forcing them off campus if we sell all 6,000 passes. In theory, they are offering the passes for the year or per game, but Ole Miss Foundation members get priority over those passes. I suspect the combination of Ole Miss Foundation members and other season ticket holders will buy all the passes.

A large amount of parking has always taken place off campus, and those folks will not be affected at all by this.

I always park in the Cotton District. That small Law Office behind Ptolomey's is usually a good place to start. Get out and it's a nice small walk to the footbridge and campus. Plus it allows you enough time to get the liquor out of your system before you get to your car

I went to the Texas game (looking for drunk slutty girls and such) and we parked like 2 miles from the Grove at like 11 am. I can't imagine what it will be like now.

I kind of agree. I think if Biff and Buffy can't showcase their Land Rover near the silver place service then what's the point?

It doesn't sound a lot different that what we do at MSU. You can't get past a certain point (granted those points are on campus, but it sprawls all over the place ... I don't think OM is as large in area) unless you have a parking pass.

Maybe they need to meltdown. How is someone going to get their tents, ice chest, food, etc to the Grove? Hump in it from the Holiday Inn? No way everybody in the Grove has a parking pass. That sh*t has to be set up, and though some of the tents might go up the night before, the food and booze doesn't walk itself in. How does someone drop off their stuff in the Grove if they aren't one of the anointed 6000? Stupid 17in' idea.
