SEC not in the finals (again) but had big numbers of teams in CFP…and ACC is in the finals. Overrated conference for second year. Can’t wait to hear how Finebaum spins this disaster.
He doesn't have to..... DUKE won the conference. That's evidence enough.
And that’s stupid, does not matter when the penalty occurs. Defensive pass interference is the penalty that gets called with the most “tickytackyness” of any penalty (OPI only gets called when officials are bailing out LSU). We’ve all seen PI called against defenders for far less. It’s especially annoying when the flag comes late, like an official goes out of his way to look for it. It’s gotten so bad that every time a receiver doesn’t catch a close ball they are looking for a flag, it’s been conditioned for several years now.
It wasn't even a ticky tack PI...lots of handfighting, both players making a play for teh ball...the defender just grabbed the receiver's arm and pulled him down.

The ACC will be insufferable if their 3rd place team beats the #1 overall seed for the title.
I dont disagree. Im just saying it doesnt happen.
Personally I think it would be great if more contact was allowed by rule. Defenders are c at a huge disadvantage as it stands now.
Oh yeah, no sense of disagreement. Both the “when a penalty is called” and the way pass interference is called is often frustrating because it takes the defender out of the play; are both football pet peeves of mine. So just an opportune time to vent. They converged and may have affected the outcome of a big game.
