I am not a friend of the Rebels, but I am going to be the friend that tells you to dump that slut, Nutt. You married a few days after he had a messy divorce with Arkansas. He looked like a good catch at the time. He took you to a bowl game and made you feel good. The next thing you know, you catch him flirting with another school, and what did you do? Basically, you bought some jewelry to keep him happy. One year later, he's talking with yet another school. Even though he never slept with Kansas, he's out flirting and looking for a bigger $ugar mamma/daddy. Save your integrity and kick that money grubbing ***** to the street. He's just using you til something better comes along.

the guy will use Kansas,Nebraska , fill in the ______ to shake down his current employer. Dude is a mile wide and an inch deep which ironically I guess makes him a good fit where he is.

may leave at any time? It would be hilarious if Nutt flirts with KU, doesn't get the raise he wants, stays at UM, and UM still loses recruits to other schools since they are afraid he will bolt any year.

Then you have Nutt sitting there with no raise, a fanbase that is not near as warm to him as they were a year ago, Hog fans flooding to the UM sites gloating about how they were right after this is all said and done, recruits that don't know what he is going to do and may go elsewhere just because of being uncertain of what my happen to the staff, and a boss and chancellor that are just pissed about the whole situation that has went on the entire year.

If you add a bad season next year and Snead staying colorblind while throwing to the wrong color jerseys, and you have another great inspirational movie plot.

Again, it wasn't about money.

I like your comment about Snead being colorblind though. It all makes sense now.

that he is in "play", and most likely will not be there in two years.

if they do, now would be the time to go snatch them...

consider the last few weeks...

KKK rally
*** whipped by MSU
coach talking to Kansas...

sounds like we could go in and take a few if they are worthy of mullen and co...that is..

but nobody else really. I think Mullen wanted that white boy safety from Arkansas at one time.

he's got some deep issues that go farther than message board dumbassedness.

I think the same can be said for just about any coach not named Paterno. I hope Nutt continues to have people coming after him, because that means he's winning. Do you really think Mullen won't entertain other opportunities if he takes MSU to a bowl next year? And we're the delusional ones...

If it was about money, then why would he stay without a raise?

It was about negotiating other things he wanted. It's not always just money.

This is how TCTWF rolls. Another trademark is that he usually gets his team sky high each year to beat a team he shouldn't beat. With Hogs and Dogs on the schedule every year this will be a real problem once Ed's recruits are gone. BTW, I haven't stopped by until now to congratulate y'all on handing him his head in the Egg Bowl.

will you have the ability to successfully talk **** about him. Didn't he hand you your own *** on a platter two years in a row?? OK, so he's up and down, but what do you expect at Ole Miss or even better Arkansas?? Nutt took you as high as you're going, just like he's done at Oxford.

You lunatics are like Southern, you can unite MSU and Ole Miss like nobody else.

Short memory? This year yes, it was his one big game. Last year without the no call Ole Miss could have lost. Just like it will be at Ole Miss his best years were with another coach's recruits. As for BP, time will tell.

Arkansas had already announced that Nutt would be back for the 2009 season before he left them for Mississippi.

Nutt left Arkansas nearly bare, especially the defense, and knew when to get out. He wouldn't have done any better than Petrino last year.

Actually we hadn't, except for the typical BS you hear about every coach when he is actually history. Can't believe everything you read. The chancellor "retired" after the golden handcuffs fiasco also.

Any coach on the rise is going to look at the next vertical step. I figure he will be smarter about it and won't simply play things for more money as Nutt has. I won't begrudge him leaving for a better job if he does as well as I think he will here. I will be ticked off at him if he is flirting with Kansas every offseason and getting raises as a result. If someone offered me a better job for more money and better benefits, sure I would look into it. I don't flirt around with every firm in existence and then use that as leverage against my current employer. I don't care how you look at it, that is crappy. I believe that one can go up the ladder with at least a pinch of integrity.
