"He doesn't want a winning season, he wants to beat us. He doesn't want to go to a New Year's Day bowl, he wants to beat us. He doesn't want to win an SEC championship, he wants to beat us."

This was what an OM fan posted on one of their message boards. I think it was at the Memphis Rebel Golf club tournament. I guess Nutt didn't want to say it himself so he put someone else up to it. But I have one question, if they said this about Mullen and State I wonder what they said about Les Miles and LSU?

No one truly believes that, but I like the back and forth.Stokes the rivalry in the offseason.

weak-*** trash talking that you lay down when you get your *** kicked 41-27.

What ever happened to the days when you just kept you mouth shut, waited until next year, and responded in-kind?

The funny part is that they can't "lower themselves" to circle our game date on their calendar and state that they want revenge.

At first, I cringed when I heard about the 34127 attendance figure. Now I just think that Mullen is going to kick their *** again. Coach Mullen is sure not showing them any respect. I love it.

bowl games are mutually exclusive.<div>
</div><div>Also, from Nafoom, Nutt has informed his fanbase that what happened in last year's Egg Bowl "will not happen again." Sorry for raining on everyone's parade tonight with this info. It's disappointing, I know.</div>

That Nutt has already laid down an excuse for last year and all future beatdowns at the hands of Mullen.

When you suck *** at football (like we have recently), you have to bring in better players. Who are we always going to primarily recruit against for those said better players?...... OM. The only way to gain recruiting leverage over a team that is consistently going bowling is to beat them heads up. Therefore, for the time being, our main focus should be beating OM. It's only logical to me, and has nothing to do with the excessively tired and lame jealous/inferiority complex.

The next stage is becoming bowl eligible, which where I hope we move into next season. Then, God wiling, we can progress to the point that we are competing for the SEC West and a trip to Atlanta. At this point, it will be our ghey fans spewing all this inferiority complex garbage (like in the late 90's). And if we somehow can do that fairly consistently then we will be staring down the BCS possibilities. And finally, I will take a trip to Clarksdale to meet Satan at the Crossroads to see if I have any purity left in my soul to cash-in for a National Championship.

BTW, it's not possible for one school to have an inferiority complex to another when they are both so 17ing easy to get admitted to.

I'm not saying he didn't say it, but I would be surprised.

It sounds more like feel-good Spirit rumor-mongering than something Nutt would actually say.

And that line came straight from a nafoom guy the other day in the mullen attendance thread. At least thats the first I had heard of it. Now whether he said it or not, I don't know. But if he did, great. Just another thing for Mullen to throw back in his face when we do win again.

we are building a team designed to beat OM and not the rest of the schedule? What a dubmass comment. Not sure what's worse, the comment, the messenger, or the people that agree at the comment.

he could give a **** less about ole miss and doesnt lose any sleep over their football program.

he knows by beating ole miss he can win recruiting battles to put a better product on the field. What mullen is obsessed with is winning football games with in state talent, and it starts with recruiting. also, he does it to get the fan base excited and pumped up about coming to bulldog club functions and other fund raisers. You cannot win SEC championships, national championships, or get to new years day bowl games without money. And im not talking about paying players, but it takes money to win in sec football......

mullen is smart......and byrne was a genius in hiring him.
