I can't do it, I'm a pi$$ poor sport and the first time one of those seersucker suit wearing, plaid bowtie sporting self overvalued cvnts mouthed off I'd end up hurt or in jail one. I've been there all I'll ever go.
I get it and agree whole heartedly. It's the main reason I'm not going this year because the shlt talking will be extreme.

They have shuttles from that location now. That's a longer walk than 15 minutes unless you're an Olympic speedwalker. It's not 82.
I have not been since Fitz was there. It didn't seem like that long of a walk. But I served in the Marine Corps and a long walk to me is about 16 miles with 60 pounds of 782 gear along with riffle and ammo and when I was in Scout Observer school, we ran 10 miles every Friday.

Hmmm, I wonder what the talent would look like at the Eupora Pony.

I had someone in the car telling where to go. I got off the interstate turned right drove a good while parked outside campus at shopping mall and walked to stadium. I was thinking it was 82. Prior to that the last time I went it was from Starkville. Don't know much about oxford and damn glad I don't.

FYI parking at the mall while relatively close walking can also be a rookie mistake if it just winds up getting you parked in traffic on Jackson Avenue.

For anybody going... this is where to park and the way in and out from Hwy 7 N. Do this and I'll assure you, you'll barely even know a game is going on. Park at the Boys & Girls club or at the school. Walk the old rail road track that's now a paved biking/walking trail... takes you directly to the stadium.

I went back in 1991 or 92. I can't remember what year it was, but JWS was coaching, and we lost in the last moment with four incomplete passes in the end zone. I haven't been back since.

It was 1992. I looked it up. It was the worst experience I ever had in a football stadium.

I'm not talking about the fact that we lost.
That 1992 game is the 1st and only time I’ve been to a game there. I was at State and a good friend from my hometown was a student at OM and I rode up and sat with him and his parents.

Come to think of it, I went to my only eggbowl in Jackson (1990) with him and his parents too when I was a Freshman at State. Yeah both of those games sucked - lost both and I was sitting with OM fans at both…

Okay. Like I said I don't know Oxford or roads and don't care to know. I don't plan on making any trips there again. Not saying I never will go just not planning and don't care.

Last one I attended in Oxford was the rain beating we took Eli’s senior year.

Cliffs:
My girlfriend was attacked in the bleachers by a rabid NWCC cafeteria worker…no way she was a real OM student….same skankk spit on my brothers hat from 3 rows up….

So come towards the end of the first half ended, I filled up my empty route 44 whiskey marinated storphome cup with surrounding drinks in the bleachers….told the people behind me to duck…and I turn the cup into an accordion into her boyfriends face.

Grabbed him by the neck and invited him to come sit about 3 rows down. His girlfriend, the crop duster flight attendant, followed his body down the bleachers and began to put up a fight like a coon after a bake sale. She whooped about 4 security guards before her parts were subdued.

I was sitting in the middle of about 8 OM friends….we were all punching the dude that was playing my cup as an accordion, however, never could get a square shot on that wirey azz wild cat bitcch.

Security hauled her away….and we ended up hiding her boyfriend from the cops …ended up being a nice guy, just bringing his sister to the game. “Hide me bro, she’s crazy, hide me bro”

Good times

I never have issues but always sit in the state section. Zero chance I’m going there and buying a random ticket to sit amongst the OM fans.

Nice try but Eli’s senior Egg Bowl in the downpour was in Starkville in 2003

And that was a miserable experience. That was the last Egg Bowl my dad ever went to. Ole Miss fans blocking our way out of our section talking shít in our faces. My dad is one of the calmest tempered people you will ever come across and he was about to deck some Ole Miss a-hole that wouldn’t get out of his face.

I remember this one idiot we were in school with showed up with no rain gear whatsoever and just stood there wet and freezing, and after getting some hot chocolate at some point, another friend of ours came back from the concession stand with a wad of napkins, handed them to the idiot, and said “here, dry yourself off.”

Was it cold and rainy? That’s the last time I had as there and I’m not going back win or lose

Cool not knowing what roads run through Oxford but being a grown man and not knowing that 82 runs Columbus, Starkville, Winona, Greenwood, Greenville that’s weird. Just saying Happy Thanksgiving

It's worth going on the off-chance we get a win there.

There is no greater feeling than sitting in Vaught Doublewide and experiencing a State victory. It's one of the requirements for being True Maroon.

This will be the first one I've missed there in a while.
Man, this is such an underrated post. 2016 was one of the best times I had in any college town post game. I know we weren’t an underdog as bad as we are this year but we beat the hell out of them. Then our band playing baby shark was icing on the cake for the game.
