No other options? He has double digit offers from several BCS conferences.
The guy didn't start for his HS until the 4th game of his junior year. He started the season on special teams and once they saw what a strong tackler and hitter he was, they knew they had to start him on defense. He ended the season as their leading tackler. As a result, his recruitment got off to a late start.
The reason we got the kid out of Indiana was that our LB coach Tom Allen used to coach HS football in Indiana.
In this copy/paste from an Indianapolis newspaper blog, his coach explains that people were slow to get on him...However, perhaps the most impressive player on the field was Ben Davis
class of 2013 safety Antonio Allen. The 5-foot-10, 188-pound Allen
seemed to be in on every tackle, including a violent shot on Cincinnati
running back commit Deionte Buckley that sent the future Bearcat’s
helmet flying. Buckley left the game with a slight concussion but said
that he’s fine and will be back next week.

Antonio Allen is/will be a great player: A conservative estimate on the
junior safety’s tackle total on Friday was probably 20. It very well may
have been more. And when the 5-10, 188-pound Allen makes a tackle, the
opponent knows it. He’s a ferocious hitter. Allen knocked Warren Central
running back Deionte Buckley out of the game (slight concussion, Hart
said) with a hard but clean hit in the second quarter that sent
Buckley’s helmet flying. Ben Davis coach Mike Kirschner was asked about
Allen’s all-over-the-field play after the game and while praising his
safety he also slammed in-state programs Indiana and Purdue for not
recruiting him harder. “I told IU, ‘If you don’t get on him soon, I
can’t help you.’ I told the coaches that today. Everybody in the nation
is calling me except them. Them and Purdue. I haven’t figured that one
out yet.” Allen is fun to watch, unless you are a running back about to
meet up with him in the hole.
