Oliver Luck should be wanting to be here after the XFL debacle.

Thought the XFL was good football......if it wasn't for the virus and the hysteria surrounding it, they'd probably have finished out the season

Ollie is Chairman of an NIL consulting company. 61 yrs old and making some serious cash. Does he want the headache of kissing the BOG arse daily?

Ollie is a disaster zone and tarnishes everything he breathes on.
Indeed Root, Indeed. Hired Dana without checking him out - and it turned out to be a disaster. Bill Stewart with three 9-3 seasons deserved the right to have coached in the Big 12. The stress from all lead to Coach Stew's untimely death.

He died before having that chance. Your days are already number as nobody knows when they will die.

I cannot understand why this is constantly an argument that has zero merit. Coach Stewart was in a conference, much like a Virginia Tech conference, that eight games minimum were guaranteed wins. If those eight games become not guaranteed, then something is seriously wrong. The big least was horrible before it fell apart. We have come here and got our *** kicked in the big 12 year after year and Hogerson was the only coach that had us close to a big 12 championship and ranked.

We were struggling heavily in Coach Stewart‘s last year mainly due to our illustrious offensive coordinator from Wake Forest.

Bill Stewart was not treated right by Oliver Luck. On top of that, Luck’s hiring of Dana turned into a disaster. We just disagree

Bill Stewart 100% did not deserve to keep his job. Dana being a poor replacement just makes the decision on who replaced Bill wrong and not the fact that he needed to be replaced. Same way Brown's failures do not make Holgorsen any better in retrospect. Bill inherited a fully loaded roster and BE schedule where the majority of opponents were at best on par with the last place teams in the Big 12. He still managed to lose the conference every year he coached and saw no problems with his staff despite Holgorsen turning the same putrid offense of Jeff Mullen into the offense that dropped 70 on Clemson. If he would have taken the hint from admin and canned Mullen after year 2, then I'd say maybe he would've earned that chance. But going into the Big 12 okay with an offense getting less than 2 scores in 1/3 of the games against BE level opponents? Not a chance.

Joe Manchin should consider being the next AD at WVU.

Bet he could convince Rod to come back home as well.

Hire Joe Manchin.

And this is it in a nutshell. Way too many posters keep trying to rewrite history with fake revisioning of Stewart and putting down Holgorsen. Makes no sense.

So basically anything anyone says you‘ll post an infantile negative response to It. Does your ego really make you think that makes you someone? Do you get off doing that? What exactly drives you to the epic stupidity you present?

No...rewriting history with false narratives and misinformation is the art of progressive liberals like Slobbering Joe and Cowmala. You know people like you Bucky Wucky.

If Rod came back and started winning Michigan would come and steal him again. Are you prepared for that mess?

Bill Stewart was a knee jerk hire. He should never have been head coach. If the AD and search committee had actually gone through with interviews and searches WVU might not be in the mess they are now.

Yeah you tell 'em big guy! His lousy coaching record was awful. Couldn't get past nine wins in any year!!!! And he was a WV guy too and you know who dumb those folks are! Give me old Hoggy or Brownie any day. Who wants to win boringly anyway? Give me slick losers anytime. And why we're at it screw using Mountaineers let's use Mounties as the name. That sounds so much more woke.

9 W's in the BE was a cake walk. Bill was way over his head as a HC. Nice guy. Good QB coach. Check out the direction of the program when he was replaced. Saving schollies is not a good move. Way too many dumb moves in games.

Said nothing about his coaching record. Just stating fact they hired him before even looking at others. Those 9 wins with zero Big East titles.

Your schtick has grown stale and you smell like Biden.

THINK YOU GOT IT BACKWARD. THE BOG WOULD BE KISSING OLIVER IF HE AGREED TO RETURN. HE'LL ONLY STAY 4 OR 5 YEARS, AS USUAL, BUT HE'S THE BEST FOUNDATION-BUILDER IN SPORTS SURPASSED ONLY BY JERRY WEST WITH NBA TEAMS.

BOG didn't like Oliver Luck after a couple years because Luck would attempt to cut corners instead of going through the BOG.

You're so full of unknowing bs. Ollie has failed at everything.

AS USUAL, YOU FAIL AT THE TRUTH. LUCK GOT A SOCCER STADIUM BUILT IN THE USA, GOT WVU INTO THE BIG 12, DID A PRETTY FAIR JOB AS THE WVU QB. "FAILED AT EVERYTHING"? GO BACK TO PLAYING YOUR GUITAR IN NYC WITH YOU HAT ON THE GROUND FOR DONATIONS!

2008 schedule with Stew:

Villanova
East Carolina (L)
Colorado (L)
Marshall
Rutgers
Syracuse
Auburn
UCONN
Cincinnati (L)
Louisville
Pitt (L)
USF

It’s not even comparable.
