They got most of their toss up games at home whereas our toss ups are on the road. If you remove common opponents (which I don’t know if you should, they get Arkansas and Florida at home, we get both on the road, so that’s harder for us), the biggest difference in our schedules this year is they get Kentucky and we get Mizzou. Which was not that different a few years ago but definitely is now.
Also Ole Miss does not play a Power 5 OOC team (I know, Wake cancelled, but it’s still a fact) and State played the defending Big 12 champ.
They will have to top our offense as well and what I saw last night they suck on defense. That goes for Ole Miss.
Yeah I’d probably be pretty pissed at my defense if I was an Arkansas fan. Giving up over 400 total yards to the backup QB is rough. Maybe Chambliss ends up being better than Simmons but that was still his first start at this level and it was in a big game and you let him do whatever he wanted.
That was kind of a game Arkansas needed to win and it was there for the taking. The rest of their schedule is brutal. They even have the dreaded Memphis at Memphis game in the Liberty Bowl next week. We will see if they fare any better than State and OM have in recent trips.
