Their longest scoring drive, time wise, resulted in a 17ing FG (7 plays - 58 yards). Go figure.

well, that makes me sad in pants

Just awful. No excuse for that either. The damn worst was the 91 yarder though. I was still very confident at that point. We had just closed to 7 and pinned them inside the 10. All we needed was a stop there and who knows.

I felt fairly confident in our red zone defense coming into the game. Didn't have a chance on any of those.

Technically, the first TD was from inside the Red Zone. I think from the 1, maybe inside, after the long pass. But i get your drift ... the Red Zone defense never got a real opportunity.

The same uab defense came to play, the difference is we were playing a better defense and couldn't outscore them. Really sucks bad because if we would have just tackled we would have won that game. I got from the game that they aren't better than us as much as we shot ourselves in the foot. But it's a learning moment and I think we will be better from it. Like I said, this incoming class is the best Dan has ever had so I expect 9-10 wins every year for the next 3-4 years. Who knows after that. If Dan learns to recruit some ol then we will be champs sooner than later

I know a lot of things have to go your way like the bounce of the ball and what teams are having down years but I expect us to be better next year and the year after so I don't see why we couldn't see 9 + wins a year. Really only teams I see us losing to is bama, lsu. Aubby, tsun and arky will be tough no doubt but we should handle them. Texas am defense will never be any good.

Question,did Redmond try to strip the ball rather than make the tackle thinking he had help and their was none? I think that 91 yard run cost us the game.

He tried to knock him down w/o wrapping up. Then he shoulders him 10 yards deep in the endzone. That **** is what drives me crazy. Don't be a big man once the play is over. You missed your chance to hit him when he was running by your weak tackle.

Yep, it felt like anyone's game at that point. It looked like we had about 6 or 7 players who could've tackled the guy on that play, and none really even came close. Just inexcusable.
