Good topic. Same boat, not sure how long I can be out there with school and all, but I'm bound and determined. Never been before.

I drove with a few friends one time. If you don't mind the drive it is a fun road trip. We had a connection in Lincoln and stayed at his house since we had no money. We scraped together enough for gas and tickets, and ate a lot of sandwiches. Unbelievable trip.

Great question for those who have done it....is it best to walk up and find tickets for the games you want to see or pre-buy?

I assume they can be found at the game?

I made the trip in 2007. We ordered our general admission tickets as soon as we beat Clemson and reserved our hotels. I would advise going ahead and ordering general admission. We sat in the outfield and it was excellent, especially during BP, watching the hitters send the baseball left and right of us. You will have to wait at will call regardless, but the atmosphere is amazing. Fortunately Rice fans won't be there, I do not think I could bear through another Rice fan if I return to Omaha.

I've never gone either, but if we win I am headed up with 4-5 other guys. Stubhub has a bunch of general admission tickets (which are good for any day/any game) for $15. I'll probably buy through there if we win today/tomorrow.
