I don't think you assessment holds much water here. Football is getting him the help he needs. Without football God only knows where he would have wound up. Now he can get a degree, hopefully land a job with good insurance, and lead a long and productive life. I think it is highly unlikely that football trauma will worsen his situation.May not be a popular opinion, but I'm not sure football is a great choice for someone with mental health issues, considering the physical damage to an already susceptible brain.
