I'm glad that, assuming we did get the game in tonight, we're going to be batting when play resumes. That gives us a half inning to regroup and get our heads back in it without there being any danger of us giving up runs.

I agree with you MBSH. They gotta trot a pitcher out there blind. As you said, we should be able to get in more of a rhythm. We got the best situation in this..just gotta capitalize.

Exactly. Need some insurance here, but most importantly, we need to re-establish ourselves.

Also, some good talking points on what to do with pitching... do we set up Holder, or go straight to him cold-turkey? I like the idea of setting him up, even if it's with one batter. Closers work better riding the momentum wave... not working to create it...

That's my opinion, though...

6 outs to Omaha with a 2 run lead, I say go with Holder and see if he can close this down. If he doesn't at least we lost with our best. He hasn't pitched in over a week so he should be as fresh as he has been in quite a while.

I'm about 95% certain Holder will throw the next pitch for MSU. Looks like it may be tomorrow though.

You are more than likely right... I'm just stating what I would do... to some closers' psyche, that setup is important. Cohen knows his guys better than me, though... I'm just stating my thoughts
