I said several weeks back that if Mullen would just simply say what the 17in punishment was, weeks back, this story would have died down pretty quickly.

Mullen has allowed this to drag on for way too long. Veazey is just a reporter, and this is a story that he doesn't have an answer to. Of course he is going to continue to write about it until he gets an answer.

Mullen has let this go on by not stating, "yes I am pissed off and here is the punishment he has been given and we are going to put it behind us now. He realized he made a mistake and he has paid for it, it is now time to focus on this football season and I will not speak on the subject again."

Instead Mullen has stated that he would in the future, release to the media the punishment that Dixon has served and that he would make a decision on him playing internally. Well, he never told anyone the punishment Dixon went through and that is what Veazey is after. I just think if Mullen handles it differently, this thing goes away because he leaves them nothing to write about.

We don't know when/if Dixon will play, thus his situation seems like a pretty legitimate thing to bring up.

1st game of Mullen's 1st season against an opponent we should beat by 50 and his lead on the article is a months old stain. Dixon is not important for this game. We don't need him. Its not like he's being benched vs Alabama or something.

as usual.

He's a journalist, for God's sake, not a cheerleader. He is just doing his job.

most of the time. This is one case I do not. I can't blame him but he has been shitting his pants over this story since day 1. I would complain more but his reporting has been solid the last few weeks so I'll give him the pass.

17ing times does he have to do his job. That **** is getting old. Who wants to read the same **** day after day, especially when the coach tells him when he'll find out the answer. If Mullen had said he didn't know when a decision would be made that is different. He's said a decision would be made on gameday.

I don't think Veazey is using his OM degree to get at State, but I do believe he likes the National Enquirer angle on things......controversy begets interest. But the same thing over and over gets old.

in a paper where an internal punishment is mentioned with a Umiss player. Only Veazey seems to always be on the top. I am not a fan of his writing. Bring back Sekou or Ian.

if it is news he writes about it. When a pre-season all SEC player of his status gets in trouble it will always be in the news until something bigger comes along. Facts are facts. My guess is after today it will become a non-issue.

But, you can't get rid of all things Croom. Coach is a fact of our past. That's like trying to get rid of an ex-wife that's the mother of your children. It's just a fact of life.

i don't think it's a damn conspiracy. i think veazey gets offended, his pride takes a shot, etc. and he goes overboard. he's 27 and he has some growing up to do, and, to his credit, he's a lot better about that stuff now than he was when he first got the job. i think he's a good writer, and i think he'll end up doing well for himself, but he's got to do a better job of picking his battles

had a buddy and constantly made references about my ex wife reminding what a dumb ***** ***** she was and how i was so stupid to to ever marry her
and live with her for 5, 17 n years . i would finaly get sick of his ***. I say state news organizations and most important the beat writer should drink the coolaid , like every other 17 state paper for other sec schools . we want good articles not because it makes us happy to hear good stuff. Its because recruits and their mamas read this ****. either get with the program Veazey or get the !& out of Starkvegas the land of milk and honey and proud home of Dan the Man. Do you get it it now .It is not being paranoid
