....now get a job, join the Bulldog Club, and pay for real tickets.

Okay, we'll give you a two-year pass on the real tickets until all your friends have also graduated, but then buy real tickets.

No big speaker when I graduated. It was gonna be impersonal anyway. I skipped it.

...very impersonal though. They just give you a card w/ your name on it, you hand it to some ***** backstage and she hands it to the guy who reads it as you walk across. Two old dudes rambled on about some BS for a while and then they got the ceremony going. The beach balls being thrown around during the ceremony was nice though.

was throwing the cap and gown into the back of the U-Haul.

Sort of symbolic in many ways.

prepares the stage, stacks diplomas, keeps things running in order, i.e. makes sure the professors and dignitaries don't %%!+ up.

She said this was the funnest graduation class she has ever seen. They had beach balls, maroon white cheer, etc.

I went fishing.

A long time ago I was like "Barack Obama will get the nomination" and William Winter scoffed at the idea and said that it would be Hillary Clinton, no doubt.

Henry Kissinger - 1, William Winter - 0

edit: Yeah, I've partied with William Winter, Ray Mabus, and Ronnie Musgrove, but I'm a Republican. As a Republican I didn't party with William Allain.

that may be 'conservative right wing radio,' in your mind, but in my humble opinion that also includes lots of folks on the left. Say what you will about William Winter, but he has always stood by has values even when it was not politically correct. And for the record, was chastised by the Klan in the sixties because he had the audacity to get on a train with President Kennedy.

He was a lot better than the seemingly random husband and wife that spoke at mine 2 years ago.

say to my potential future employer that the President spoke at my graduation went a long way in a day long interview with several people. the fact that this small town guy from MS had the Pres. speak at graduation at MSU had the people in PA a bit interested to say the least.
