Regardless, I think we win the regional this weekend.

I also think we win the super next weekend and go to Omaha for the third time in three seasons.

I don't know what to think since this team is so up and down (think about starting pitching being dynamite every other week the last few weeks). It has seemed for most of the season that when our team has made up their mind that they will NOT lose, they find a way to win. I hope that's what we see going forward.

The season is long, and it wears on these dudes. The lying down and coasting for mizz and the sect are concerning, but I can relate to the psychology when you feel like you have a spot cinched up. I just hope losing the WAY we did in the sect can be forgotten or used as fuel to buckle the hell up for next week.

I think we win the regional. I think we should win a super if we can keep our heads on straight.

If anyone was a UFC fan in the last 15 years, you should listen to the George St Pierre interview on Joe Rogan from a few weeks ago. I usually skip the MMA episodes, but he's maybe my all-time favorite fighter. I always admired him for his work ethic, will to win, and gracious/humble attitude. What I didn't realize until listening to that episode was what a genius strategist he is. This dude would bring in a neurologist and a psychologist to analyze opponents and find weaknesses and places to attack. A great listen.

I'm always hesitant to say, "Mississippi State will win the upcoming game."

I've said this many times before over the years, and it's often led to disappointment.

I will say this about the scenario you set forth: I won't be surprised if that's what happens.

I would like to see who is in our Regional before making any definitive statements about how far we go. There are some 2 seeds who would really make me question whether or not we make it out (UCLA, Duke, NC State).

I do think we end up as a Top 8 seed, perhaps as high as 6 or 7.

Aside from going two and out in our regional or winning the national title, nothing will surprise me with this squad.

If I had to make a prediction, I’d say we lose in a super regional as I think our pitching and defense inconsistencies catch up with us.

I do believe you’re going to see a much more focused team in the regionals. Under Lemonis anytime we have **** the bed, we tend to come out and play well the next game/weekend. I think it’s a better than 50% chance we go to Omaha. I do think we have such a small margin for our pitching staff because our offense is inconsistent.

After 2016 and 2018 Ill never try and predict the postseason again. Our first game of the 2018 regional was some of the worst baseball we have ever played and the we turned around and went on one of the best postseason runs in school history so I am not too worried about how looked in Hoover.

I fully expect Omaha, and have all season. We got as good of a draw as possible, basically. I realize many will tell you Notre Dame is underseeded, so maybe we could have gotten an easier potential matchup, but I’ll take this draw 10 times out of 10.
Regular season is over, SEC Tournament is a distant memory, it’s time to buckle up and get it done.
