This young man deserves respect and encouragement for what he's been through. I only wish him the best future, and I hope he's successful in life after football...
Man when you hear his life story you have to be amazed he’s made it this far. I wonder about the mental health of his parents that led to their situations then wonder about his. I guess I care that he does well.I don't care one way or another about him. That said he looked like a legit WR in the ND game. Made a couple nice plays .

He’s easy to root for since Wisconsin is not on the schedule. But if we meet in this year’s B1G championship game or CFP, then he’s the enemy.Man when you hear his life story you have to be amazed he’s made it this far. Read the story. You’ll root for him to succeed in life if not football.I don't care one way or another about him. That said he looked like a legit WR in the ND game. Made a couple nice plays .
I get it. I guess I never heard his life story. I remember hearing something about him being an orphan or something maybe.
It's nothing personal. I just don't know the kid or enough about him to truly care. From just being a human I wish no harm upon him of course. Just have a lot of other stuff that I care more about.

My take is that he probably has some personal demons that he deals with daily. Not once have I gotten the impression that he expected things handed to him.BS This kid wanted everything handed to him on a silver platter without working for it. Congrats to him the light finally went on. They want politics kept out of these forumns and you bring in a prime example of this generation of kids that want everything handed to him because thats the easy way. No doubt what party you support!!
Well his start was tough. There’s no reason to trash him. He and Williams have little in common. There is a reason this kid is at his 3rd school. He wants to fall back on the "whoa is me and my life was tough" card but doesn't want to do what is aked of him. Sounds like he didn't learn a whole hell of a lot.
Reminds me of that idiot Jamss Williams. Nebraska gave him a shot and he excelled. He left for FSU and started talking shłt about Nebraska. Now he's at his 3rd school.
You dont realize how he handled himself in HS and here then. Didnt think practice or the weight room were meant for him.=Great talent just not devoted to being great! My take is that he probably has some personal demons that he deals with daily. If they want to be a part of society and want to be treated like adults then they need to take the good with the bad. They are two case studies of how not to conduct themselves in a team environment.Well his start was tough. There’s no reason to trash him. He and Williams have little in common.

I don’t think Williams left because things got tough. I think he thought he could get paid more elsewhere. I don’t know why Coleman left but he never seemed all that enamored with being a Husker. I hope he has a good life.If

James Williams left because and went with Pot Roast. He didn’t have a good year at FSU and i think Norvell told Pot Roast to send him packing. If

I know people he churched with who knew him and the family- church school stuff. He was always out due to “injuries” in HS - mom super over protective and self serving. Lazy kid with great gifts. Looks like that carried over. When he signed I was pretty sure it wouldn’t work here. You have first hand experience with him in high school![]()
What does Raiola know about successful QB performance?Only fanbase that romanticizes players who left us high and dry.
Unless its Raiola, who is irrationally hated for recognizing Rhule is cancer to successful QB performance.
I don’t think it’s romanticizing about a kid to wish for a successful life for a local kid who started life without responsible parents. He has supported a worthy charity when he didn’t have to. I’ve not read a single credible account of him being an entitled brat like some of the whiney bitches on this boardOnly fanbase that romanticizes players who left us high and dry.

Without Raiola, we get swept by Colorado in the most recent home and home, and are at max a 4 win team last year. What does Raiola know about successful QB performance?
It seems you would need throw a ball for more than 15 yards on occasion, and be able to run once in a great while to be a "successful" QB on the college level.
Might get our first peek of him with Oregon this weekend. Whenever he gets some action, I will be looking to see if he has improved on his weaknesses. Namely, can he connect on deep balls in stride, can he avoid sacks, can he run for first downs. I already know he’s an elite dink and dunker, and Oregon WRs are more able to pad his stats with YAC on short throws.Without Raiola, we get swept by Colorado in the most recent home and home, and are at max a 4 win team last year.
He coulda done more. And much like Darnold and Mayfield, he likely will now that he's no longer being held back by Rhules weak leadership.
Did that when he left. Continuing to follow up by giving multiple thread updates to every game he plays in is embarrassing, and indicative of the soft culture that is festering state-wide.I don’t think it’s romanticizing about a kid to wish for a successful life for a local kid who started life without responsible parents. Oregon has shown willingness to boatrace teams. If Raiola is in there during mop up duty, Oregon still runs their offense. If they don’t have him attempt deep balls, then they don’t really trust that part of his game. If Akili also gets in, then we get a preview of next year’s QB battle. If Akili goes in before Raiola, then we know who is winning.Doubt he'll need to connect on deep balls, as he won't be in situations where his only hope is to pray for a miracle. Their talent and coaching situation is so far outta reach.
From what I have read, the insiders and media believe Akili Smith is closer to being QB2 today than during summer practice. Raiola was 2 and is still listed as such but it would not surprise me to see him get in before the fatty.Oregon has shown willingness to boatrace teams. Who they go with in mop up duty first may also not be the same guy they turn to if Dante is definitely out for a full week or more. It is not at all certain that it’s Dante, then Raiola, then the next guy. For 2026, or 2027. Uh, we still had Haarberg. Greatest Nebraska QB ever.Without Raiola, we get swept by Colorado in the most recent home and home, and are at max a 4 win team last year.

He's gonna need some playing time to do that, because it's hard to do more riding the pine...Without Raiola, we get swept by Colorado in the most recent home and home, and are at max a 4 win team last year.

We won a recruiting battle for him. The expectation was that he would shine the moment he got on campus. In reality, he needed a couple of years to adjust to college and grow up a bit. By the time you got to Wisconsin, the expectations were pretty low. That takes the pressure off. I wonder if things just finally clicked for him. I’m familiar with his childhood and I hope he succeeds.I don’t think Williams left because things got tough. I think he thought he could get paid more elsewhere. I would love to see that on a draft report. “Raiola excels in the dinking and dunking game”Might get our first peek of him with Oregon this weekend.
