He’s easy to root for since Wisconsin is not on the schedule. But if we meet in this year’s B1G championship game or CFP, then he’s the enemy.

Would I want him to have a good season if that also meant Wisconsin had a good season? No. I want Wisconsin to suck.

I don’t think Williams left because things got tough. I think he thought he could get paid more elsewhere. I don’t know why Coleman left but he never seemed all that enamored with being a Husker. I hope he has a good life.

James Williams left because and went with Pot Roast. He didn’t have a good year at FSU and i think Norvell told Pot Roast to send him packing.

I know people he churched with who knew him and the family- church school stuff. He was always out due to “injuries” in HS - mom super over protective and self serving. Lazy kid with great gifts. Looks like that carried over. When he signed I was pretty sure it wouldn’t work here.

It seems you would need throw a ball for more than 15 yards on occasion, and be able to run once in a great while to be a "successful" QB on the college level.

I don’t think it’s romanticizing about a kid to wish for a successful life for a local kid who started life without responsible parents. He has supported a worthy charity when he didn’t have to. I’ve not read a single credible account of him being an entitled brat like some of the whiney bitches on this board

He coulda done more. And much like Darnold and Mayfield, he likely will now that he's no longer being held back by Rhules weak leadership.

Namely, can he connect on deep balls in stride, can he avoid sacks, can he run for first downs. I already know he’s an elite dink and dunker, and Oregon WRs are more able to pad his stats with YAC on short throws.

Did that when he left. Continuing to follow up by giving multiple thread updates to every game he plays in is embarrassing, and indicative of the soft culture that is festering state-wide.

From what I have read, the insiders and media believe Akili Smith is closer to being QB2 today than during summer practice. Raiola was 2 and is still listed as such but it would not surprise me to see him get in before the fatty.

Who they go with in mop up duty first may also not be the same guy they turn to if Dante is definitely out for a full week or more. It is not at all certain that it’s Dante, then Raiola, then the next guy. For 2026, or 2027. But we will get some read soon.

We won a recruiting battle for him. The expectation was that he would shine the moment he got on campus. In reality, he needed a couple of years to adjust to college and grow up a bit. By the time you got to Wisconsin, the expectations were pretty low. That takes the pressure off. I wonder if things just finally clicked for him. I’m familiar with his childhood and I hope he succeeds.
