One aspect of these conferences expanding has been pretty much every weekend

There has been a big matchup. This weekend features a matchup between number 14 Michigan and number 18 Oklahoma. It's only the second time they have played each other since the 1976 Orange Bowl.

Lots of players coming up from the lower tier schools to the big name schools as well. Seeing more complete teams on TV now.

Im not sure I follow...the Oklahoma-Michigan home and home series was announced over 10 years ago. Are you saying the matchup is bigger now since OU joined the SEC?

It is bigger due to SEC membership but since it was scheduled 10 years ago it has very little to do with conference expansion otherwise

From our standpoint, I think it is. As a fan of an SEC school, I am going to pay more attention to an SEC vs Big 10 match up than I would a Big 12 vs Big 10 match up. The media outlets that cover the SEC will give it more attention. I think that is partly the logic behind conference expansion.
