The NCAA announces a policy change which allows players and athletic department personnel to bet on pro sports. I can't imagine any slippery slope here.

Bad optics anyway.

Citadel vs Furman on Saturday.A game between real live amateur students.
Disclaimer:I attended one of those 2 schools.

Back when Sherridan was at Furman, I would go see them in the playoffs. Very exciting football.

Ive said this many times that gambling will be the downfall of fall of college football any maybe other sports. It’s a matter of time before someone gets in the head of a player or a player goes at it alone. Since some of them now have money to gamble they know they can double down and make more. It’s coming or it may already be here.

Don't underestimate the "influence" of the mob.
