(or allowing some schools to stonewall) applications for membership from schools in states that already had an SEC school was huge mistake. We`re about to start dredging for leftovers. Big mistake.

Clemson and FSU would be naturals for the SEC. The SEC's nationalappeal has never been about 'foot print".

in my mind. I like the traditions. But, I guess if they do it slowly enough, traditions evolve like everything else. The popularity of college football isn't going anywhere for sure, so they can damn well do about whatever they want. I will probably still watch, even after there's no tradition left. So I guess I'm a hypocrite and contributing to the problem.

And Your an idiot if you don't think Clemson and/or FSU wouldn't jump at an SEC Invite.

can't see anything but positives from adding a school with a big time football tradition from a state with a population of nearly 19 MILLION people. A second school in a much smaller state (ie. Clemson) wouldn't add that many viewers but you could take a state like FL somewhat split between the SEC and ACC given FSU and Miami both play in the ACC and turn it basically all SEC. Now I did see something yesterday where there will be a stiff fine for schools that leave the ACC so may be that FSU really has no interest.

Getting stuck with Cincinnati as team #16 (after Texas A&M, Mizzou, and West Virginia) could pay off in the long run by opening up Ohio recruiting grounds and TV money.

We pay white head coaches millions of dollars (surrogate fathers according to Cowherd) to recruit athletes who look nothing like the student bodies at SEC schools, many of whom need special academic exemptions to enroll. Thus you have special majors developed (leisure studies), special faculty who keep athletes academically eligible (coaches and athletes know who they are), and schools spend millions on tutoring centers. But once these athletes finish their eligibility (some do graduate), most fans want nothing to do with them and hope they don't end up living in the same neighborhoods.

White athletes, meanwhile, are largely discriminated against because they're a little too slow or less athletic even though they are much more likely to graduate. But hundreds of thousands of Southerners can now chant "SEC, SEC..." at Big Ten fans come bowl season so I guess it's o.k. (screaming SEC after a few beers really boosts my self esteem). Who cares whether 30 athletes recruited by Urban Meyer at Florida were arrested. He won two national championships. That's what matters.

Where is the evidence of blackballing? How can we blackball schools that haven't shown an interest in leaving? Why would an ACC school leave a conference with a bigger and wealthier TV audience. Quit drinking the bathwater.

Do you hate all white people, or just white people that enjoy college sports?
