(or allowing some schools to stonewall) applications for membership from schools in states that already had an SEC school was huge mistake. We`re about to start dredging for leftovers. Big mistake.
Do you hate all white people, or just white people that enjoy college sports?eurotrash said:We pay white head coaches millions of dollars (surrogate fathers according to Cowherd) to recruit athletes who look nothing like the student bodies at SEC schools, many of whom need special academic exemptions to enroll. Thus you have special majors developed (leisure studies), special faculty who keep athletes academically eligible (coaches and athletes know who they are), and schools spend millions on tutoring centers. But once these athletes finish their eligibility (some do graduate), most fans want nothing to do with them and hope they don't end up living in the same neighborhoods.
White athletes, meanwhile, are largely discriminated against because they're a little too slow or less athletic even though they are much more likely to graduate. But hundreds of thousands of Southerners can now chant "SEC, SEC..." at Big Ten fans come bowl season so I guess it's o.k. (screaming SEC after a few beers really boosts my self esteem). Who cares whether 30 athletes recruited by Urban Meyer at Florida were arrested. He won two national championships. That's what matters.
