"IF" there was no law against whoring out your kid to the highest bidder as long as the kid does not know,

WHY HAS THE NCAA DONE NOTHING TO CHANGE THIS RULE?

If that was the case, there is no reason for every school to have not done this for any and every recruit out there, right?

The basic reason I think that this has not become widespread is that I think most (not TSUN and Auburn, obviously) are well aware that the NCAA knows there is a rule in place and are going to bring the hammer. Its just a matter of when.

Thoughts?

Again, I am sorry for the rehash.</p>

and I'm paraphrasing so anyone who knows more details or cares to correct me, feel free...

but the bottom line is some reporter poured through the NCAA bylaws and found fairly concrete verbage to suggest that it is ALREADY against the law/rules. The NCAA just chose to "creatively interpret" their own rules differently throughout the course of this case to avoid the 42 metric tons of egg that would be on their collective face if they actually had to answer to anyone other than themselves.
