another email I received this morning. Posted on an AU board I'm guessing. Auburn did huddle every play against Georgia instead of calling the plays in.

from a player in my lab...i had befriended one of the senior lineman...he was responsible for signaling in plays...he said that this past week was the hardest preparation week they have had all year...the reason...all of the signs that are used had to be changed...apparantly after the utm game, one of the utm coaches came up to tubbs and told him that his signs had been known by every team he's played since franklin left...not only that, but mark richt called tubbs the week before the uga game (btw mark richt may be my new favorite coach because of this) and told tubberville it was in his best interest to change all of his signs because he knew all of them...wonder why we started going to a huddle now???...from everything i gather, coach tony franklin put those bad boys out there for the world to know...it can be traced back to arkansas is what coach richt said...so for the past however many weeks, every team we played either knew our signs, or had the opportunity to know them...i'm not saying that that's an excuse for our offensive woes, but it could explain how we looked so predictable and how kodi makes a majority of his completions after the play has broken down...i knew franklin was a snake, but if this is true, i hope he never coaches again...i hope he has to go door to door selling his books and video's...he's dead to me...

If true, then he best get out of town while the gettin's good. If some assistant did this at Mississippi State, Bulldog fans may cry and say, "Why did you do that?", but Auburn, or any other SEC fan base for that matter, will start slashing tires, throwing bricks through the window, and Fluffy the pet cat will turn up on the front porch skinned.

This is why we shouldn't fire McCorvey. If we fire McCorvey, then he might give other teams our signals. That could cause us to have a predictable and ineffective offense that could lead to just 3-4 victories in a season.

look back at what TT did after resigning from UM. TT may have "earned" this.

He definitely earned it if he didn't even try to modify the signs. That's like not making sure the management changed the locks before you move into an apartment.

With today's technology and with computer crazy sports fans, it not very far-fetched to believe someone just plugged in the signs (before each play) then the type of play that was run and let the computer determine the patterns.

It's not like the offense was better before Tubs fired him. I doubt Frankin gave all this information out.

that AU had 4 people on the sidelines giving out signals, and the person giving the "real" signal was changed with each possession. My question would be how quickly could an opponent figure out who was giving the real signal during each possession? 1 play? 4 plays?

though. They should have probably waited until after the ***-raping in the iron bowl so they could demonize Franklin and Saban at the same time.

it looked like all four guys were doing the same thing. I will say that I wasn't paying that much attention, but I thought it was kind of odd.
