One more reason why I'll never knock a WR that played under Crxxm.

They never stood a chance.

Steelers at Chiefs

Start Em:

  • Lance Long, WR, Chiefs (PPR Only)
With Dwayne Bowe out, Lance Long could be targeted a lot.
• Obvious Starts:
PIT: QB Ben Roethlisberger, RB Rashard Mendenhall, WR Hines Ward, WR Santonio Holmes, TE Heath Miller, Steelers Defense.

    Sit Em:
  • Jamaal Charles, RB, Chiefs
Not against Pittsburgh's No. 1 rush defense.
  • Dwayne Bowe and Chris Chambers, WRs, Chiefs
Sure, Chris Chambers is the new No. 1 receiver with Dwayne Bowe suspended, but Chambers stinks. I wouldn't want to rely on him.

I agree that they didn't have much of a chance playing for the Walrus, but his lard *** didn't run the 3 yard routes on 3rd and 5s that Long and Prosser insisted on running.

...you think they decided to run those routes on thier own? You do realize that coaches draw up these things called plays, and they call them, which basically tells each receiver what route to run, correct?

junior high players know that. I didn't think SEC players needed to be coached to do that more than once. And I have hard time believing they didn't know better because they'd always come up a yard short. I don't believe for a second thats what they were "supposed" to do.

...if it were just Lance Long that did this, I'd agree with you. But all of our receivers did it. It happened all the time.

His entire senior season at State he had 14 catches. I really want to punch Crooms in the face now.

often catches a lot of unfair flack because of Will Prosser. I honestly don't remember Long being that bad at running routes short of the sticks. I think Long is guilty by association- white WR- more than anything.

The worst mistake I remember Long making was in the 07 Egg Bowl when he ran the opposite direction of where Wes Carroll thought he was supposed to be, and honestly, I'm not even 100% sure that was Long's fault.

Sure handed, Good route runner, not that fast... I never, ever suspected him to do the things he's been doing in the league in only his 2nd year. I'm amazed.
