"multiple flagrant and unsportsmanlike acts"

doesn't sound like it was just a one time deal to me, I thought he was getting at least 2 games suspension.

Does the athletic department...

Does the athletic department even try to fight these double standards? I mean, why can't Strick bring these things up in a press conference or something? Les Miles cried like a little ***** to the media about Day playing "unfairly", so why can't some of State's leadership to the same?

I think that is what did him in. A personal file in the game plus something similar last year. If he had just stepped one one player and no other problems tied to him, I'm sure he would have gotten the benefit of doubt.

As they say.......it is what it is.

We absolutely SHOULD fight this big time. Get it reduced to 1/2 game. 1/2 game is the right penalty here. He would have gotten that though if he hadn't been a 'repeat' offender after last year.

Is that official, or an assumption? Can we claim the suspension lay year was over an unrelated matter, and use that to get the suspension reduced?

Mullen stated publicly that Day's 1/2 game suspension was for the personal foul he committed in the Auburn game.

No kidding. I still can't believe that Redmond received what amounted to a year and a half suspension for getting a few hundred bucks off of the price of a used Mustang. On second thought, I've been an MSU fan for way too long to be all that surprised

the more things change, the more they stay the same.

equal punishment would be cool for a change. flagrant and unsportsmanlike defines a few programs, but not ours.
