BDJ mentioned a day or so ago that next year we were only looking to give out 15 or 18 scholorships or so due to a small senior class and a lack of attrition. With what looks like a pretty strong and evenly spread class next year it looks like we'll be able to sign a few more quality guys next year. I like this idea much better than doling out scholarship to marginal players just to fill a class which is what we'd have to do at this point. I have a feeling Mullen will bounce back next year. If not then we'll have reason to be worried.

If we go bowling again next year and then have another underwhelming class, then it will be time to worry.

as successful as the shenanigans were for the Bears this year and with likely no repurcussions coming from it I look for more of the same next year. I will agree that another strong showing should help but I'm not sure how much.

From Steve: "I like what I am hearing about Coach Collins' approach to recruiting, so that is a plus heading into the spring. It was too late for him to have much of an impact this year, but he'll hit the ground running with these 2012s."

He said he will go into details later.

I agree totally. We had a large redshirt class. We got a good group of big boys up front. Not a great class, but good.

Getting to sign a larger class next year coupled with another good season and Collins should bring better times on signing day.
