One thing good about armstrong, besides his running

he doesn't make excuses, he repeated over and over he's got to get better making decisions.
I give him credit for that. I read on here that our o-line coach doesn't rotate players, which means our oline might not be great next year, which means our qb will have to have wheels, which means Im glad armstrong does have wheels.

so unless riley put out a dimond somewhere, armstrong will be our qb next year.
thus at least he has a good attitude, and isn't fooling himself. I didn't read him trying to shift responsibility once in his after the game interview.

Agree, that is a good quality to have, it was a very heartfelt interview. That being said, I admit I am overweight (not too bad) because I eat too much, it doesn't mean I will ever be thin. TA has known for 2 years he needs to make better decisions. It is just in the heat of battle, he can't.

If the O-Line doesn't protect well next year, one way to get around it is to have a QB with wheels. Another way is to have a QB who can quickly check down to his hot read and throw a ball with a little touch. Just sayin...

It is good that he doesn't buy into the philosophy of blaming others, but the problem is, it seems like his throws are becoming more and more errant. He recognizes his issues, but they aren't getting resolved. Yesterday he looked about as bad has he has all year, and he really wasn't under a ton of pressure. His philosophy has always been, chuck it up and see what happens. When he can scramble out and buy time for 7 seconds, our receivers have a chance to get open, but my guess is, he's scrambling because he isn't finding the open guy right away, because he can't or doesn't know how to. And as for his "wheels," he doesn't use them nearly enough, he'd rather toss it up for grabs. We need an QB built for the system, because the coaches have shown they are going to run what they are comfortable with, even if they have a guy who just can't run it. Tommy's strong arm, good running ability, and never-say-die attitude isn't good enough.

Hope he and the coaches can turn things around and make his senior season a solid one. Tommy is an easy guy to get behind, he plays hard and we know he wants to win, nothing wrong with his heart. If he can find a way to resolve the turnovers to no more than 1 a game, then that alone would be huge.
