One thing I do agree with Coach34 on.

Osby should be getting more minutes so far this season. I don't see where Kodi is that much better than Romero. Osby seems to bust his butt when he is in there. Not sure what Stans is doing on that one.
I would even like to see a big lineup with Bost, Turner, Osby, Kodi, and Varnado sometimes. Stewart and Ravern are just not reliable enough.

but there is no way Benock should get more minutes. Benock played some good defense last night, but we were really low on depth at post so Osby should have played at least 20 minutes.

on that. For the life of me, I cant see why Turner isnt playing the 2 and 3. He should be getting Ravern's and Randy's minutes, not Osby or Augustus

The reason Turner is playing the 4 is he is probably the best rebounder we have. If not the first he is second, and once he gets rebound he is match up problem in running the floor. I thought that was pretty obvious

that having Swat, Augustus, and Turner hitting the boards all at the same time- we could dominate on the defensive backboards (you may think Turner is our best rebounder, yet Augustus had the same number as Turner against Rider in 10 less minutes of play)

then on offense, teams still have match-up problems with us having 4 guys out there that can shoot 3's....

I'm not surprised you couldnt figure it out- but an SEC coach should

so I don't normally comment in threads like this, but for the love of all that is good and holy, can someone please explain to me what Stewart brings to the table that I'm missing? He can't shoot, he's not defending the 3, he doesn't rebound, and he rarely gets more than 2-3 assists. I continue to be completely baffled as to why he gets the minutes that he does.

our starting lineup needs to be Dee, Barry, Turner, Augustus, and Jarvis. And they need to log a lot of time each. I would work Osby and Ravern in there, but not ravern for long stretches. he is so streaky and whatever he gives us on offense, we lose on the defensive end. The lineup above would by far be our best defense and rebounding lineup and isn't that what Stans preaches?

His best season was his freshman year when he came off the bench. He has laid bricks ever since he got the starting spot. It is like he tries to do things he is not equipped to do. He is not fast enough nor can jump high enough to get to the basket yet he keeps trying with no success at all. He gets impatient and takes bad shots too. He rarely squares up and shoots because he always seems to be kicking a foot out or fading back.
On the plus side, he defends decent and has improved his ball handling but not enough to overcome his offensive liabilities.
