One thing I noticed from yesterday, I think Jim is invoking Jack.

Jim says Robinson is dumped "unceremoniously", then the next play JRob goes for the 73 yard TD. Keep em coming Jack

I believe you are right. Jim was tutored by Jack and more and more of Jack's

Jim says Robinson is dumped "unceremoniously", then the next play JRob goes for the 73 yard TD. Keep em coming Jack

style and wit is showing through....but that's a good thing.

I like Jim for baseball (except for those "nothing better than a cold glass of Luvell milk" commercials that run over into the first out of the next inning) but the longer he calls football the less I like his call. Nothing personal, not sure if its missing Jacks call or what. That said I wouldn't care if I EVER heard John Correro utter another word on the radio, he hasn't added a damned fact to a broadcast in years.

Baseball is the sport that floats his boat. I don't know if there are that many radio listeners left for football, but if he retires, they might seriously audition for a new play by play guy and color guy.

I'm guessing at this point they would put Matt in the play by play chair and Bart in the color chair. That would be the old promote from w/in of MSU days of the past but Learfield may have another plan. I see no use for an on the field mouth other than injury updates possibly but Correro doesnt even do that.

As long as I can remember, when they cut to Correro it's almost like they have to wake him up

Regardless, our broadcast is significantly better than 90% of the other schools. If you listen to most of the other schools all they do is tell you the results of the play. You never get the play-byplay action. Listening to those broadcast is like listening to two buddies discussing the game. There are very few broadcasters that describe the action.

I think we should give Rob Pate and Coach Crowe a chance ***
