Parker is gonna 17 around and make it hard to replace him
I swear I was just about to post something pretty much exactly as you did and I agree it was refreshing almost like he was used to being a head coach in the SEC. It’s just one SEC weekend for him so far but much improved and none of the head scratching, but I still hope we make a real “big splash” hire to quote the article I read yesterday from SI. Either way I thought it was a well written article that explored lots of things and what was likely according to them. We're playing Kentucky, clearly the 2nd worst SEC team we've seen. And we very easily could have split and the attitude here would be completely different.
That said, listening to his post game, he's intelligent and seems to know wtf he's talking about. It'd be great to find a young guy who's ready for his shot and hungry. No idea if he's that.

Agree, but we've only got one of those left in the regular season. It better go well or that's curtains.
This isn’t Parker’s coaching, this is a team playing on emotion and adrenaline. Having your coach fired mid season says as much about the players as it does about the fired coach but the school can’t fire the team. This sudden resurgence isnt permanent. The emotions are just covering up the underlying deficiencies.
He's not getting this job. Would take a miracle CWS run to get any kind of look at all.

Yeah that’s what I’m hoping happens. We make it to a Super or even CWS and Kendall Rogers and Rick Cleveland are blasting us for not promoting him and hiring Brian O’Conner.

I suspect it's not even that. It's likely just the competition level. Hell, our worst losses all year are South Carolina and Okie State. This team has been very good at beating teams they're supposed to beat.
It's all the little things we don't do well that have caused all the losses to teams that are just better than us. I'm always a fan, but reality seems to be clear. Talented enough to threaten for a Top 16 seed, but there are just things missing that make us a bubble team.
I'd love to see a 10-1 finish though. I'm here for it...
That’s a very psychological way to explain/look at it and very fair as well. I still think this team is or should I say could’ve been at least a bit better than their record shows considering some baffling coaching from Lemon so we will see where a temporary change in coaching and like you said their emotions take us considering not a lot of time left except the post season lol lord help them and us fans. It won’t get worse at least it definitely seems
I agree here. I honestly thought this team was gonna be much better. That's what was so disappointing. I think there is a lot of talent on this team.
And that was the right decision. Just like moving on from Parker will be. Remember, he was the coach people were complaining about the most this season until 4 days ago.
