One thing we can all agree on: The pressure just got hotter for Dan

I think that's a good thing, so on that thought, I'm happy Ole Miss won! Seriously, I'm not happy UM won, I want them to lose every game. The seat just got hot for Dan. In year 2 Hugh gets a win against a ranked SEC team. In year 1, Dan beat a ranked Ole Miss team, in year 3 he beat a ranked Florida team on the road, and I believe that is it after that. He's had numerous opportunities including against LSU in his first game ever! He just can't get it done. He's just not a good coach. Hugh Freeze obviously is. We're gonna get *** raped again in November. Scott, if we do in fact get *** raped AGAIN I think a firing is in order.

Freeze is the Stansbury of SEC football. He'll get all the great players and let them do their thing. Every once and a while he'll show some emotion from the sideline and say "Hold me back!" to an assistant. He'll lose games he shouldn't and win some he shouldn't. Great win tonight by UM regardless want you want to say about LSU, but let's quit acting like Freeze hasn't had games he should have won that he gave away.

I don't think we should be using them as a measuring stick either. Dan's seat was hot since last year when he got **** on by Saban and had one of the worst skids in school history... Right up there with Rocky's implosion. I've been sour on him since he looked like a statue on the sidelines against Northwestern. It's gotten worse this season because it's more of the same. Ole Miss could be 0-7 or 7-0 and I'd feel the same about that.

Unfortunately we give every coach the benefit of the doubt and wait until only 30,000 show up for a game to think about changing things. Our school's first thought after sucking is to market the coach and have him hand out free chicken biscuits to ticket goers instead of firing assistants.

I don't care if it's Hud or not, it just needs to be a guy who has at least SOME understanding of southern politics in sports and some kind of display of emotion at any given point during a game.

I know that's the sucky part. They are in games and when he upgrades the talent level across the board and adds depth they will probably win those games. He makes some bad calls sometimes, but Wallace makes some really bad throws sometimes too. Last night it looked like Wallace and Mettenberger swapped jerseys. Mett just didn't come to play, and Freeze took advantage of it. He kept his foot on the gas, stayed aggressive, and they got the win. I can't imagine what's going on over on tigerdroppings.

I hear you bro, but showing emotion on the sideline does not necessary make a great coach. King Jackie and Bob Tyler were not exactly wild men on the field. Also, Mullen was very animated during the BG game ( go back and look at the replay). I think every state fan is frustrated that the team can not dig deep enough to beat an equal or more talented team. We as state fans know that winning a SEC championship is basically impossible (except for '41 of course) so the only thing we have to look forward too each season is that "upset" of one of the SEC elite and going to a minor or mid- level bowl. You take away the perception and reality of being able to get that signature win and we are left with boredom and mediocrity. And a bored fan can quickly become a pissed off fan.

Bum Phillips said it best: "He could take his'n and beat your'n or he could take your'n and beat his'n." – About legendary Alabama head coach Bear Bryant, for whom Phillips played.
