A year & a half ago, when Cohen moved to AD, it seemed almost automatic that he’d just name Henderson as interim & hire a coach after the season. But he passed him over to hire Cannizaro. Unless his opinion of Henderson has made a 180 degree change, I don’t think he’ll be the guy.

From what I have read, Hendo doesn’t want to be a HC...

I’ve seen that spanning multiple years and sources.

If he’s not retained as a coach, I’d like to see us offer him some admin position if he wants it. He’s owed a debt of gratitude for taking this mess over.

The way things played out last year told me all I needed to know. It became more obvious when Henderson became the interim. It just doesn't seem like he enjoys talking to media and doing all the extra stuff an MSU head coach would have to do. I doubt he had to deal with that at U.K.

If Henderson really wanted a serious look back in February, I'm pretty sure Cohen wouldn't have immediately started talking about the next guy. Cohen wouldn't have disrespected Henderson if the conversation had went that direction.

Yeah, that's what I've heard all along, that he doesn't want the job. And I also agree that we should at least offer him some sort of job with pay equivalent to what he's getting now. He's done a lot for us this year under trying circumstances, to say the least.

Cohen obviously knows Henderson very well. Surely this post season run won't change his opinion of the man. I'm not saying he won't get the job, I just don't think a few more wins here should make a difference in whether he's a candidate.
