One way to improve SEC RPI's

Would be to abolish divisions and go to a 22-game conference schedule. Everyone would play everyone home and away, and the scheduling imbalance would be gone.<div>
</div><div>Plenty of conferences already play 18-game or even 20-game schedules, so this wouldn't be out of the blue.</div><div>
</div><div>Think how much RPI's would improve across the SEC if we replaced 6 games against bad teams with 6 games against SEC competition.</div>

That certainly would help improve RPI and SOS.
...unless the non-con games that were cut out were the better teams and we kept the NW MS School of Podiatrist teams on the schedule.

It would be pretty cool to see, but damn there would go our conference titles.

We played 15 OOC games and 16 Conference games in the regular season, or roughly half are OOC. For comparison, our football team plays one third of its games out of conference. Changing 6 non-conference to conference games in basketball will put the ratio very close to where it is for football.
