It looks like the guy could be an Olympic sprinter, is there any reason he isn't going to focus solely on track.

Its one thing if he was just an average track and field athlete, but it appears he is pretty damn good.

and give up the opportunity to play in this offense? You're kidding, right?

Somebody needs to have a heart-to-heart with Mr. Wilder and his family. His future is on the track.

Yeah there isnt much money to be made if he can be a successful WR in the pros. With his speed he at least has to try it out

And he was like a 5 star super stud receiver that played a bunch as a freshman and he left the football team to run track.

All Im saying is that he looks like he could a professional track athlete, they make decent money. Also, throw in the fact that weightlifting for track and football are very different, and that the chance for injury, and isn't best the decision for him to focus on track?

I understand the need for him to try out, but if he isn't a sure fire NFL draft pick then he should focus on track and try to become a professional track athlete.

He needs to at least try college football, because he straight dominated the high school field, and he didn't even know what he was doing.

but much like golfers, its all about the endorsements.

For reference, Tiger made $11M last year playing golf.

He had $100M in endorsements.

Tyson Gay, for example, is sponsored by Adidas.

So, they likely pay for all his travel, his gear, and a small salary.

Everything else he wins, he keeps.

Which still isn't like FB players.

Wilder should give it a chance. Doubt he'll ever be a WR on the next level, but Biddle is a gunner for Carolina.

So there's no need to "try out". Secondly, Xavier Carter will be sitting at home this summer. Third, perhaps he really likes football, and track is just something do to keep from having to play spring ball. Besides, he just a freshman so there's plenty of time to change focus - Trindon Holliday is still playing football.
