I love the taste, but raw onions wear me out. I get heartburn for a couple of days so they must be cooked for me.

Onions are one of the best GD things on the planet. They make other food better. I just ate a big slab of a raw sweet onion for breakfast with a can of great northern beans, some ruffles potato chips, and cheese. Raw, sauteed, ... I like'm all ways.

Sauteed or Grilled on skewers. Also pickled red onion is a good addition to many sandwiches or tacos.

I don't mind them finely chopped and sautéed. There's a reason they smell like that and make your body have a reaction, you know? God/god/mothernature/natural selection/Gaia knew what they were doing.

I love onions, all varieties, whether it be Vidalia, White, Red, whatever. I love them raw on sandwiches and put them in most soups & stews I make.
My dad, who was a heavy equipment operator, would always pack one in his lunch pail and at lunchtime, he would join the boys, pull out the onion, peel it and eat it like an apple. "The apple don't fall far from the tree".

Absolutely hate raw onion - actually one of the only common things I don’t like. Always order menu items sans onion. Grilled and sautéed onions are good though - especially with shrooms.

Grilled cheese and sweet onion.
I just had one on some good full grain bread with seeds. Good!

The only problem with onions is they don't store well in the fridge. You've got to seal them up really well to contain the smell, and they're only good for about 24 hours, if that.

Liking them more and more the older I get, but nothing compares to the tiny ones McDonald's puts on their regular burgers. What are those and where can I get them?

  • Obtain a Vidalia onion
  • Cut off the bottom so it will sit up without rolling over
  • Core out the middle
  • Put in one half of a beef bullion cube
  • Fill remainder of cavity with butter
  • Wrap in aluminum foil
  • Grill until done
  • Profit

Yessir! Excellent.
