Probably time for an increase in student ticket prices. It's been at $35 bucks for about a decade now.

I'm pretty sure they went from $3/game to $5/game around 2008 or 2009, but I can't remember exactly. But yes, $50 is still really cheap compared to other SEC schools.

its only been $35 for 4 years. It was $21 from 04-08 when I was there.

that being said, its still the cheapest in the SEC and needs to go up. or we need to start doing an athletics permission fee like OM does. They charge $75 to students for the rights to tickets to any sport and then charge extra for the football season. The charge gets lumped into their tuition. I would like to go that route and increase the football tickets.

At Tennessee its much higher and they are only guaranteed to get 3 games. I know we aren't to that point.

no reason for the games not to be about $10 a piece at least for students.

When I was at MSU, in the '60s, as I recall home games were free ... covered in the activities fee. But ... we didn't have any home games, or not many ... maybe 1 or 2. "Home" games were in Jackson (curse whoever thought about doing that), and if students went to games there I think it was $5 a pop. That's equivalent to at least $50 in today's world. Ole Miss was essentially the same.
