Do you have sources or just speculating? I don’t expect Stoops to be fired but I don’t expect him to be back
It's been settled for almost 3-4 weeks he's gone. Just waiting to make the announcement after the Louisville game.
Stoops will be at Ky as long as Mitch is at UK.

Where did this rumor come from? I heard the same thing from a friend recently but he didn’t tell me where he had heard it from.
If UK beats UL and goes 6-6 to get bowl eligible that's all MB will need to do absolutely nothing.
If Mitch is retiring on 6/30/26, he needs to let others pick the new coach.
They said in the past if uk goes after new HC Monday will have a lot involvement in the process.

Would stoops want to to negotiate a buyout where he could leave on his own and in good faith?? Knowing the fanbase is extremely displeased with where the program sits currently or is he going to dig in on the buyout?? A lot of questions coming after Saturday & changing the OC is not the fix as we have seen already.

It’s “only” $800,00 but I thought it’s a two-year deal to be “special consultant” to Eli(?).
I’m not a huge fan of Marc Hill but at least he would give Football the priority it deserves. Dwayne Peevy, the other rumored frontrunner, would be an even worse choice IMO.

If he insists on being involved in athletics let him handle advising the Olympic sports only.

I don’t pay for anything and I’m not asking for information from those sources. Matt Jones on the postgame show made it sound like he’s not going anywhere. I know how some people feel about KSR, but I enjoy listening to them. I’m just curious if there’s any smoke at all that a change could happen or if it’s just wishful thinking from fans

I know nothing as well, but I have wondered for a while now if Stoops doesn’t negotiate something and leave on his own. I’d be willing to bet he misses his kids and I think he knows that it’s time to mutually part ways. I could be 100% wrong, but it also wouldn’t surprise me if he chooses to go elsewhere after the year, no matter what happens with the UL game.
With that said, I hope Stoops and the Cats beat UL by 90.
Please make the announcement before the game. Give uk fans something to be excited about. As it stands right now I have no intention of even watching the game as stoops’ product he puts in the field is that nauseating. Being certain it is his last game would allow me to stomach it one more time despite the outcome.
So was the SEC. The growing strength of SEC football has caused everybody in the SEC to grow in strength, a rising tide lifting all boats. It's just that some of the other boats seem to have risen more than our little dinghy.
That doesn’t work. You’d have guys, especially the young talented ones, ready to jump into the portal not knowing what is to come. Despite what we think, the players still seem to like and support Stoops.
Nah, our mini turn around and the potential of the offense next year plus his buyout keep him another year. If we actually made good portal additions we could be a 8 or 9 win team next year.

Yeah but the likely replacement is his mini me according to almost everyone. The dude has already been making decisions for the programs we have problems with mainly FB and Basketball.
That doesn’t mean he will be another Mitch or it will be him. Just fans been fans predicting the worst outcome possible
