We put another number in the win column today. How We played today doesn't matter. It will have **** to do with how We play next week. It was really a week off. Players and coaches took the week off and the smart ones were getting ready for Houston.

ALL that mattered was that We got a win today. Whether by 1 point or 60, no difference.

If We were flat , who gives a ****. We won. The focuss will be strong next week and it will have nothing to do with the game today.

Let's realize this- we put up 49 points on a team basically messing around. And yeah, we gave up 16 points- although I don't care what the replay guy says, that guy was out of bounds, so really it was more like 13 points. And we shut them out the second half.

And Alcorn got their check, so I'm sure they're happy to.

They showed a side view on TV with his foot clearly off the ground and his first step with possession out of the end zone. The announcer was talking about how it would be overturned, and I had no reason to doubt him because the video evidence was very clear. I don't know what the replay official saw, but he was just flat wrong on the call. Luckily this week it didn't make a big deal.

But we looked disinterested on defense tonight. I think the entire defensive unit looked like they were going about 80 percent the whole game. I think we phoned this one in, knew we could get a win with relatively little prep for this team, and just went out and beat them on talent. This next 4 game stretch will make or break our season, so I think we've been looking ahead all week. We go 3-1 in these 4 games and we go bowling with the chance for 7 wins. Go 2-2 and things get dicey with Bama, Arky, and Ole Miss left.

I had a great view of it. Actually, I was shocked that the official called it a TD in the first place.

You are right. And it's understandable that we were looking ahead. Houston is on the road, and we always seem to play poorly against them. They have a long winning streak at home as well. I do think that having their third QB as their starter will help, but it's probably the toughest game for us in Oct. sans Florida of course.

Also, UAB beat a pretty good Troy team and they took UT to OT, so I think they're better than a lot of people suspect.

Don't know what to think of UK. The home seems to always lose. Regardless, I still wouldn't trade homefield with them. The only reason we lost to them in Starkville the last time was because Adam Carlson couldn't make an extra point and another FG inside the 20. UK looked good against cupcakes, but not so good the past two weeks.

We need those three wins. I do not want our bowl eligibility hinging on whether we win the Egg Bowl or not.

That just means we are due to win. At least that is what I tell myself everytime we play LSU. Seriously though, it is nice to have a thread that just talks about the game, doesn't have people complaining about play callingwhen we scored 49 points against a team that we wereobviously just working on things against, start claiming that the third team QB is the best thing since sliced bread, or have people argue like 6 grade girls about who was right or who was wrong in threads before the game.

The waslike anexhibition where we worked on different things that we needed to work on. We got to put our players in different situations. We got to see some areas that we need to work on especially on Defense so we can improve on those things the rest of the season. All at the same time, we got to put a W in the win column. Overall, a successful day.
