I have slaughtered some municipal courses, just haven't had the money to play any "fancy" courses.

somebody I know tried to go to the back nine when they had only paid for the front, and the manager came out there and screamed "I know you are trying to play cheap, but you have to pay four more dollars!" I miss that place.

1. Dalhousie Golf Club--Cape Girardeau, MO
2. Spring Creek Ranch--Collierville, TN
3. Bellerive CC--St Louis
4. TPC Southwind--Memphis (Monday after the tournament. Was there on an internship. And this was when the greens were still bent grass. Slick).

May be a strange #1 but that place is gorgeous. Bent grass tee boxes. It's a Nicklaus design and I'm a little partial to it because I was there for the grow-in and saw it when it was a baby and now it's grown into the hidden gem of a course that if you can ever play it, do. The area was completely wooded, so there was no grow-in phase on that aspect. Has natural springs on the back side that funnel into the lakes and ponds and #16 may be the quietest golf hole I've ever been on. Oh, and 18's green is roughly 65 yards long. Took one person about 45 minutes to walk mow it by themselves. Ok, that's enough on my love affair w/Dalhousie. Oh and Albert Pujols is a member.

You can slice a drive 3 fairways over and still have good look at the green. Love the SEMO goat ranches.

And both times were in tournaments for Baptist Hospital. Not really sure how to get on as a non-member.

These golf trips are spread out over the past 20 years. Played Harbor Town almost 10 years ago.

Spent every summer at Clear Creek and eventually started working there at 14. Even though I've been out of school for 3years, I still use my student ID when I go back home andend upplaying 18 with a cartfor like 10 bucks.

at the expense of a CC golf cart and my playing privileges for a year! Forewarning... those bumps at the bottom of a hill aren't handled very well in a runaway cart.

Played one time at Southwind about a week or so after the tournament several years ago with the greens cut low and the rough high. It really is amazing how the pros putt on those things cut like that. It takes a special touch.

Played it about 10 years ago. I actually lived across from the 8th hole in the early 90's, used to go hit that par 3 a lot in the evenings. The week of the DTMC the speed was unbelievable.

I am not sure of the best but the most memorable was The Plantations in Gulf Shores.

I had never played anything but Bermuda greens and this course has bent grass. I had only been playing for about 3 or 4 summers and did not even have a handicap rating (maybe 8 or 10?). I was in my very early 30's. I was feeling my oats and played it from the tips. I hit 16 of 18 greens in regulation. I had two eagle putts. The two greens that I missed I got up and down for par with one from a green side bunker. Sounds good uh? I shot a freakin' 84!!!!!!! I had 14 three putts. I was fit to be tied. True to my 10 handicap I guess.

A lot of great courses over the years but
Unfortunately my beer count often exceeded
My handicap so I don't remember them all.
I don't play much anymore but I loved the game.

Was on the Golf Team at WC and played there every day after school in the Spring. I always loved #15 because I'd just let my Slice do it's thing to perfection. First hole I ever eagled. Then #16 was a short par five if you could slice your 2nd shot over the trees onto the green! Always knew I could get some strokes back on the back nine.

I played Timberton in 92 and it was very nice at the time.

I have played every course on the coast. I have played a course in NC and walked Pebbles Beach. I have played all the course at the Trent Jones in Mobile and his par three course is by far the most fun I have ever had. But the Fallen Oaks on the coast is the besthowever Dancing Rabbit in Philidelpia is very close in my opinion.

Worth every penny. Stuck it tight on #6 at Pebble and sank the birdie. Still got the ball with the grass stain on it in my tropy case.

not horrible I guess but its scarred in my mind after I was playin my best golf on holes 1-7(playin front 9) and on hole 8 alone I lost 4 balls to the woods(no idea how) and I hit a 17'n 10, worst i got a 3 on 9 and had I gotten at worst a 7 on8 I would have won among the 5 guys I was with
