is my favorite pizza anywhere.

But as a whole, Pizza Shack is better than Sal and Mookies.

The one just one stop on the red line south of Wrigley. Old Style to go with it. Hop the red to Addison, hit the bars, catch a game.

In Jackson it's the Pizza Shack.

isn't bad, if you got about 6-8 hours to spare. I went in there on SBW with a group of about 5 and there was one other table in there. It took us 3 hours to get our food. If it weren't for the fact that we were drinkiing beer the whole time we would have left. To top it off, the pizza (when it finally came) tasted like a red barron. Usually they (Dave's) have good pies, too. It (terrible service) has been like that every time I have been there, too. I think they people in the back just get stoned and forget everything.

Not even on par with an average deep dish in Chicago.

The gyros and burgers at Dave's are pretty top notch, though.

Not a fan of the deep dish, sorry Chicago.</p>

in the restaurant, so it's big slices of mozzarella, not shredded. It's a place out of NY, they use copper pipes as they think it makes the water taste better. Awesome.

Never been to pizza shack. But say and mookies is the ****. Pizza is great but try the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. And by strawberry cheesecake I mean it actually has a real strawberry cheesecake blended in it.

and FYI, every pizza sold at Daves is frozen. My Walter Payton at SBW was terrible and took at least two hours. Still good times. In college, the $5 medium pickup special at Strombolis was unbeatable with the butter garlic sauce.

Giordanos. Best pizza ever.

And the next time any of ya are in Des Moines(im sure it happens often), hit up F&O's for their deep dish. Fantastic.

Haven't had Pizza Shack in Jackson have heard good things about it. Roma's is only one in North Jackson area with a real Brick Oven that I know of. The brick oven makes a difference.

The people who answer Mellow Mushroom, get real... Just tell everyone your favorite burger is from Chili's, your favorite steak is Outback, your favorite taco is Taco Bell, your favorite Po-Boy is Subway, etc... Mellow Mushroom is crap.

Soulshine is also good to me. Its probably 2nd in my book. Like I said I haven't tried Pizza Shack going to soon though.

Their crust is so much better than Gino's East. Gino's crust is blander and on the dry side.
Both are still better than anything else I have tried although Chicago Pizza in Boulder is up there.
BTW...Other Uno's albeit the same name don't come close to the ones in Chicago.

In the Jackson area, I think it's easily the best, but you've got to get extra cheese.
Easily the MOST over-rated and over-priced pizza I've ever had. $25 for a pizza better be awesome and it's not. Don't get me wrong, it's ok, just no were near worth what they charge and far from the best. Right now, Pizza Shack gets my vote.
