As for reality type stuff I watch The Biggest Loser. I keep hoping that they will have a season that is entirely filled with message board heros. Would be quite funny. </p>

I'd probably go with Madmen as #1. The characters on that show are incredible. You love the ones you're supposed to despise, and you despise the ones you're supposed to love. Plus it's funny as hell while being pretty dark and deep, too.

Psych might be my favorite, but it's not the best. White Collar is a fun one as well.

//Could probably get by with AMC, USA, and a sports package

I'd say:

Always Sunny
Modern Family
Big Bang Theory
Pawn Stars
Man vs. Food (even though the guy is a clown)
Diners Drive Ins and Dives (even though the guy is a bigger clown)

That guy on River Monsters has the greatest job in the world. He gets paid to travel the world and fish. Awesome.

Steve Buscemi and Martin Scorsese. With Scorsese directing this thing and coupled with HBO's track record, I think its going to be awesome.

I got the entire first season of Dexter as a gift but never made it through the 3rd episode. It was awful, does it get a lot better or is that pretty much it?

...I remember being the first season being great, but I don't remember a particularly slow start.

That's the "ice truck killer" season I believe. I really liked it.

I guess we'll just agree to disagree.

How I Met Your Mother is a close second. Since Lost & 24 went off, these will be the only 2 shows on my must watch list.</p>

I think they jumped the shark when Jan got fired and Ryan got promoted from intern to big corporate exec. And both of their personalities completely changed from what they had been before.

It was going off the rails by the end of the third season and has only continued in that direction. Sad because the show was really amazing that second season (its first full season).

South Park has some of the best writing in television right now. Family Guy is pretty funny. Adult Swim also has some pretty hysterical stuff on late at night.<div>
</div><div>As for non-cartoon stuff, I have to admit, I really like True Blood. It's more of a guilty pleasure, but there's rarely a dull moment in the show and the dialogue is great. Also along the top of the line for me is Curb Your Enthusiasm and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Great comedic acting/improv on display.</div><div>
</div><div>Haven't seen Mad Men but I've heard nothing but good things.</div><div>
</div><div>Boardwalk Empire and Eastbound and Down will own tv sets this fall.</div><div>
</div><div>Network television is pretty terrible right now from a writing standpoint. Laugh tracks make me want to throw up. The absolute **** I see on CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, TBS, and TNT gives me confidence for my chosen career path.</div>

Dexter- showtime kicks ***
Eastbound and Down- anxiously awaiting the new season
It's always Sunny- Thank you comedy central
tosh.0 - not scared to cross a line or two, but constant laughs
Modern Family is genius- love the way they do interviews/confessionals like the office does/did
Pawn Stars- I catch myself watching it more than I should, but it's interesting in a random sense

I was disappointed that Flash Forward didn't reach a 2nd season. I think the producers of Lost created it, but I think it's been cancelled recently
