the only problem there is that forces you having to start Frost at 2B. Maybe Britton will get it together but its not looking good right now. You can't have THAT big of a liability on defense at SS. He has a very nice arm but very few balls does he field cleanly so having the good arm doesn't matter that much.

And to be honest, I think second is Demarcus's most natural position.

I agree with you 100% on the infield lineup.

Got a single, stole second and advanced to 3rd on the badthrow from the catcher, then scored offa single. I like Henderson and I think he can contribute. On a day where our team scored 16 runs on 19 hits and won by 10, Britton went 0 for 3 with 3 errors. That's just pathetic.

Errors like the ones Brittion had today are the type that lose you games in the SEC. You can recover from errors like that against a team like Lipscomb, buterrors like that in SEC games can really cost you.

in the outfield and then throw him back into the infield right when conference starts and expect it to be smooth. Apparently we thought Britton was a reliable fielder until the bright lights of a real game got to him. Who knows how Henderson will respond since he's never really played 2nd base in a meaningful game. We will have to make a decision quickly because we've got 2 weeks until we trip to Baton Rouge.

if henderson hasn't played any infield yet? if cohen thinks he's a sec ss then he should be fine at 2nd. plus it'd be an upgrade of frost. 17 that hurt just typing that name.

he is the best looking SS we have had since Manny. He makes the difficult plays and makes them seem easy then inexplicably screws up the simple stuff. He has a absolute gun to first base. I think Cohen has to give him some more rope to hang himself.....or prove himself. He is just too good to give up on........

I think Henderson should go to SS and make Frazier the main guy at 2B, his primary position. Frost should be out of the equation by now. Britton's OK, but he has his whole career ahead of him. <div>
</div><div>Cohen's the one at practice and for whatever reason he put Henderson in the OF, where there won't be a spot as soon as Brownlee gets healthy. I don't remember Henderson being that good in the INF last year, but it seems like he's ready to step up and play some ball. Put him there and give him a shot. We know he's talented.</div>

He has done enough to prove to Cohen he is not ready yet. You act like we are throwing the guy away, that is not the case. He is very young and if you have watched every game, it is obvious he is not ready.

That gun you speak of has been all over the place, from bouncing the ball to first or pulling Rea off first with awful throws.

He needs to be pulled before he flat out loses us a game. He is a liability on the field at this point. He is just not ready yet, unless he is an idiot, he knows this too.

*Edited to add that he is batting .217 and has 7 errors in 12 games. This is an easy decision.

One at bat, he flew out to the catcher, struck out on 3 pitches, and almost flew out to the pitcher on a bunt.

But believe it or not, Frazier is the better shortstop than Demarcus. Henderson has problems throwing from the shortstop position.

Frazier does not have the range of Britton or Demarcus, but he makes the throws on the balls that he can get to. At this point, I feel like we are better off giving up that foot or two of range for accuracy.
