While Byrne is doing these interviews do you think even though the candidate may be a top notch HC who we want really bad, is there very much consideration from Byrne on who the candidate will hire as his assistants?

Just curious to know or anyones thoughts on how much emphasis is put on who the coach will bring with him.

I would think that would be one of Byrne's first questions since the Sly/Woody show was a disaster.

I would think that w/ the caliber coach we are trying to hire, there is a little more trust given the coach & his potential assistants

I would also think a coach searching for a new job would have his own shortlist for assistants, & this would be discussed

I think the real question will be if the coach will fire quickly any under-performing assistants, & that the coaches past relationships w/ any potential assistants will not impede the possible success of the team

I don't think any of the current staff will be retained, maybe Felker in an administrative capacity. I just wonder if maybe we find a good coach, not a great coach or a "homerun" type of deal but a good coach who has a real good OC and DC who are willing to come along if that would fit the bill for what Byrne is looking for.

If that scenario plays out I'm not sure how the fan reaction will be, but I have a lot of trust in Byrne's decision.
