I am of the belief that Scott already knows that eventually, he will have to run something like we used to.
Why?
He personally went through those years, and knows it can be successful.
He also knew this before taking the job, that if push came to shove, it was a backup plan that he could utilize.
Imagine for a moment, you are in his shoes. You know coming back to Nebraska has a lot of expectations, and you know some people are not going to like your new system, but if given some time, it could be successful, and winning cures everything.
If however, things aren't going so great, you have this Ace in your back pocket. You know you have it before even taking the job. You could just do it the old way, as sort of a backup plan.
We are going to see it, and more of it, and people are going to like it, and that is how it's going to just naturally happen.
There won't be any big announcement of system switches or anything like that, it's just going to gradually turn into that, and we have seen just the beginning.
Will it be exactly the same as before? Probably not, but look at all the fan and media enthusiasm garnered from just a few plays already. I think even guys on the team are excited about it.
