Had he been sick? Sorry to hear about this! Both he and Coach Woolfolk got raw deals in Orange IMO!
I just read the article and they just don't make them like him anymore. My heart breaks for the kids, whose lives he touched so profoundly.
I coached against him. Actually coached against him in his last football game at Orange in 2012. Classy, funny guy. Respectful and someone I thought highly of. Very sad and tragic.
I had the pleasure of the company of a gentleman today that was friends with Coach K. He confirmed all of the kind comments that have been shared about Coach. I wish I would have had the chance to have known him. He was my kind of man.
This just makes me sadder for all of you that knew him, having lost such a unique friend. What Marc Cole, the Orange AD said in the article, just about say's it all. "In a meeting 30 years from now, they will still be talking about him".
