Oregon is entertaining as all get out

Watching it DVR'd now. They run every play like they're trying to come from behind with 60 seconds left. When the play is over, the get up fast, line up fast, call a play fast, and snap the ball fast. Sometimes they must call 2 plays - its unreal how fast they go from the end of one play to getting the ball snapped for the next play.

1st and 10 from their own 2 and they did what I wish every offense would do there and that's run your offense. I've never understood why so many coaches like one yard and a cloud of dust inside their own 5 yard line, or worse - a QB sneak. 2nd and 9 from the 3? Really? Instead of that, Oregon drops back, throws downfield, and completes a big pass play.

...would be a team that is a solid ball-control offense that runs directly at the other team's defense an pounds the ball, mixing in the occasional pass (not too many do this in the NCAA right now). Oregon's defense is smaller (by way of comparison) to other teams in the Top 25.

Once Oregon's offense gets into a rhythm, they're hard to stop. So a shoot-out is probably destined to be a loss for their opponent. So every time you get a 3-and-out on Oregon's offense, you have to take advantage with a sustained, controlled drive.

Defensively, you have to have a plan for defensive substitutions. This is where they kill their opponent. U$C was gasssed by the middle of the 3rd quarter last night, and you could tell it was just a matter of time until the walls cam crumbling down.

I think you may be right. Don't count the Crimson Tide out. They could still win back-to-back national titles.

Whether or not the stars will align to make this a reality is another question altogether. I'd love to see if the Ducks could ride the Tide.

with their SOS (Aub., MSU, LSU) coming in to play, they should jump both TCU and Boise if they win out...

that leaves only Oregon....

They will go down to Bama in Tuscaloosa and beat the **** out of someone in the Sugar Bowl (Orange Bowl if Bama somehow doesn't make the national title game).
