has gone to shite without Riley
Good, maybe they'll hire him back
Yeah...but that doesn't count or something.Riley ws 2-13 in his last 15 PAC 12 games at OSU. Let's not pretend they weren't already heading in that direction.
Year 3. No excuses.
So how long does Gary Andersen get to turn things around there? Has he gone anywhere towards making things better? It's pretty hard to say things have got any better, and they've probably regressed. If things were so bad under Riley, that means Andersen had a much lower bar to clear, and he can't even clear that. He's already guaranteed of having the worst 3 year record for the program since before Riley came. The hypocrisy and double standards with people are astounding. Riley comes here-no excuses in year 3. Andersen is in his 3rd year at Oregon State, and you come up with every excuse in the book for him.Riley ws 2-13 in his last 15 PAC 12 games at OSU. I guess the answer to your question is...who cares? Not me and probably not any other Husker fans.So how long does Gary Andersen get to turn things around there? Just like no one cares about Saban losing to ULL 10 years ago, except for you.
Year 3. No excuses.
Completely agree.
has gone to shite without Riley
So hard for some people to give credit to Riley for anything... career over 50% there... Anderson is under 25% there...They were crap with Riley too.
I didn't come up with any excuse. I am not excusing Andersen for anything. I simply pointed out a fact. Andersen truly took on a rebuilding program unlike the fake one we pretend Riley inherited. So how long does Gary Andersen get to turn things around there? Because the other guy that coached there had them in the top 5. That's why.So hard for some people to give credit to Riley for anything... career over 50% there... Anderson is under 25% there...
Not saying Riley is the answer here, but why is it so hard for some to admit he did a decent job at a tough place to recruit to?
2-0 in conference, hosting a top 10 team in 6 days and a bunch of candy *** pricks are bitching. Go figure.
Yeah, come on guys...we need to concentrate and focus on the next game.
So bad... I guess you are right, Nebraska was such a great place for any coach to inherit. Riley just sucks so bad he has made us worse.I didn't come up with any excuse. I am not excusing Andersen for anything. I simply pointed out a fact. Andersen truly took on a rebuilding program unlike the fake one we pretend Riley inherited.
But, no, I am not excusing Andersen. They are horrible.

You are amazing in your hatred of all things Riley, that you won’t even acknowledge the mess Riley inherited here.
His coaching hasn’t been good, but at least be objective enough to acknowledge he came into a bad situation here with the way Pelini firebombed things on the way out.
I have come around to realize that Riley saddled us with his bad coaches. I blindly wanted to believe they would be different here. The mess was that a coach could not win or get the respect of a team that was used to winning nine games a year.
In every other situation, it is the coach that takes the blame for losing a team. Not the former coach that never had a season as bad as the current coach.
Let's pretend that a team with 16 returning starters with an experienced quarterback that never won less than 9 games a year was some kind of train wreck.. The former coach was a train wreck and yet he somehow won (somewhat) with them.
Instead, let's gloss over the fact that the coach that just went 2-13 in conference play came in here and tried to run an offense not suited for the players he had. And let's ignore the fact that we had to end up firing a bunch of that staff because they were incompetent. But, instead of looking at those facts, let's just chalk it up to a bunch of decently educated young adults that somehow were traumatized because their former head coach cursed a lot and didn't like the AD that would soon be fired anyway.
A good coach can win over a team. There are examples all over the country. Bad coaches lose their teams, and a lot of games. And get the guy that hired him fired.
And we have 2 losses to unranked teams. Any team would ***** about that.2-0 in conference, hosting a top 10 team in 6 days and a bunch of candy *** pricks are bitching. Go figure.

No no no...you are forgetting the toxins! That were totally gone when they were 7-0...but then I guess they came back and stuff.
Year 3. No excuses.

Over his time here he has turned over the coaching significantly, but we still are having issues on the OLine and at QB. I would like to think the QB issues are affected by the OLine woes, but Lee still tries to thread the needle too much.
That is is why he will not make it to next year without a winning season this year. In that case, coaching woes will end his career here.
I think...if my Rileymath is correct...that 7 wins by Riley are greater than 8,9.10,11,12,13 or 14 wins by any other coach. And 7 losses by Riley using Rileymath is actually a good season as long as it is in years 1-44.Those damn toxins. It looked like Riley had finally won the war on toxins and those bastards show back up. It's going to be a long tough war against the toxins but if we all just rally and support Riley we can eventually win the war on toxins. And the mess(9 wins a year) will finally be cleaned up(by winning 7 games a year?).
Yeah...but that doesn't count or something.
You never learn, do you. Isn't that the reason you've been banned multiple times in the past?Mentally challenged poster pipes in

The irony is running thick from a Pelini apologist with the above comment.

I agree with this and always thought Riley had some great coaching qualities. Unfortunately picking his assistants is not one of them. Some of it is not his fault, Oregon state was not exactly a Mecca for assistants so I believe he settled on guys that were loyal but otherwise average at best. Oregon state at the end had a problem with his assistants, the day after meeting with Oregon state AD about the assistants Nebraska called. Riley then brought the guys with him, now to his credit he fired Banker and if he makes it this year it will be because of this decision. I feel for Riley but these problems are of his makingI have come around to realize that Riley saddled us with his bad coaches. I blindly wanted to believe they would be different here.
