I seen this coming from a mile away. The agent leaks to media that Herman was close to a deal with LSU, that speeds Texas up and makes them make a huge offer to Herman.

Very interesting! He has been head coach or important co-ordinator now at Ole Miss, Tennessee, USC and LSU. He will probably end up eventually on Bama's staff and either Ohio State or Michigan. Has anyone else ever coached at so many Blue Bloods of College football?

Go Big Blue!

Orgeron has never been a coordinator. One ill-fated head job but mostly DL asst throughout his career.

Sorry, I thought he was under Kiffen. Kiffen has been his boss twice, Tennessee and USC. Kiffen may end up being the highest paid OC ever. 2.5 million or more!

Go Big Blue!

I know most if not all the LSU players really like playing for Coach O, and there's a lot to be said for that. However, they had to have whiffed on Herman for this to have happened.

And most of their rival fans love this hire. Players coach who is a popular hire among opponents should mean bad news for LSU.

I also find it interesting that a guy who essentially couldn't cut it at LSU, is now their head football coach.

But college sports is all about the student athlete, right?
