Matt did a wonderful job with his coverage for this game on his Scorebard thread. And someone, matt?, posted the stat sheet for this game on facebook. I'm a Smith homer that's living near WV& MD now. I'm glad I came down for this game & now have a much shorter trip next week!
As Matt noted Thomas Dale is "a darn good team". You could see how their D-line had some successes but they were too few to impact the game. Smith just has peaked and are focused at the right time. vs KF, IR & NR they were very sharp for the 1st half of those games & appeared to laspe in the 2nd half. but to me, it looked like they had some backups in & were trying to get them the experience needed for next year.
Per the stat sheet, the defense only gave up 2 yards rushing!! AND some new faces from the O playing on the D side for this game is gonna give their oppents fits trying to game plan for next week!
